I like the "illustrations" in this book because they are partially visual and partially inferred. There are several scientific explanations over the heads of small children but I appreciate the opportunity to teach my son valuable research skills while we check out the websites provided as well as checking out our own leads. Colored pictures make it appear younger than it really is but the technical language gives the mind pause.
