In "On the Job," Rubble and his construction pup family need to fix the roof of City Hall. The book focuses on how they work together as a team to get the job done.

Children need to learn about teamwork early so they will be productive members of their community, and I truly believe in this message.

On the Job introduces us to the pups in Rubble’s crew! This is really just an introduction to the pups, so there isn’t much of a storyline. The illustrations are fantastic, and the text is nice for kids who are just starting to learn to read.

This book had lots of information about outdoor and heavy-machine work, with good pictures and easy words. Good for ages 2-8. I liked how the book stressed leadership, working together, and being helpful to others!
