She was born in England but also grew up in Africa, The Middle East and China. She taught English for eight years in the UK and Kenya before becoming a writer. She now lives in East Sussex.

Mama Bear is attending a pottery class, and Billy Bear Bear and his rabbit must stay at home for the first time with a babysitter. The adjustment isn't easy for Billy Bear and his rabbit when it's time for bed. But Lucy the babysitter knows just how to comfort Billy and his rabbit until Mama Bears returns from class.

Very sweet book about a bear’s first time with a babysitter. Stalling on going to bed because he is scared.

This is a great book for reluctant sleepers! It's a tad too long for use in preschool storytime, but it would serve as a great one-on-one read for caregiver and child.
