This book was perfect for every sports enthusiast. I got my moneys worth reading this book, and with all the live photos taken in it. The imagery that was going on in my mind after reading about the bulls and Michael Jordan, and about all the old fashioned teams that played it was amazing. I really like how sports Illustrated captioned almost every photo describing who the player was, and what the moment was like.
This book compares nothing like modern day basketball. Everything is so much different now with how "soft" the NBA has gotten, and so many new rules that the players are exploiting. It was almost like watching a movie, but with pictures about basketballs evolution. I highly recommend every sports fan purchases this book to see what basketball was really like in this era of basketball.

In this 296 page book you will learn a lot more about basketball than from any other book. It contains photos of historic players and facts about a decade that are very useful in learning about the sport. It also shows how some early coaches innovated the game. I recommend you read it.

Loved this book as a sports fan and it definitely captivated me as a child learning about the sport. It went through College and professional basketball and detailed various teams, players and stats across all decades up to date of the book.

Fantastic pictures! I really enjoyed the decade by decade look. Obviously there was so much that could be covered that some folks and events aren't in it. I wish they had more biographies included. But, to have that the book would have to be 2x the length!

Like the SI Baseball Book, it provides a snapshot of each decade and a selection of magazine excerpts on the game's most dominating players. Spectacular photos from the past 60 years in the NBA, ABA and NCAA.

Not really a book you read - it's ok - just some interesting stuff about college and pro basketball. - really more than 50 pages, but that's what I read.
