Drawing on the British Library collections, this book illuminates the ideas and opinions of the Georgian era and illustrates details of everyday life in essays on topics as diverse as architecture and dancing.
A delightful dip into the world of the Georgians. This book accompanies the British Library's exhibition about the life and times of the Georgians. As such the book aims to provide a visual reference of some of the sumptuous books, pictures and paintings displayed at the British Librar -the text is there to annotate rather than provide an in depth explanation. As a history enthusiast I love this book, it doesn't provide immense detail but it is highly engaging and a most for anyone interested in the 18th century
