This is the 3rd in a series of books about these two twin brothers. The 1st one was nominated for five state awards. I read it because I had read a prior one in the series months ago in one sitting and thought it was hilarious. Very dry humor but the kind most 3rd and 4th graders who understand sarcasm and just plain goofiness would love.

I can't believe this book (and its sequel- Lenny And Mel's Summer Vacation) are no longer in print (as far as I can tell). Very sad. They should be riding the coattails of the Wimpy Kid series! This is a perfect read for kids just a little younger than the target audience for those books. Same tone, same hilarious humor, text interspersed with line drawings. You'll just have to go to the library to get them :) Highly recommended for 1st-3rd grade boys- especially reluctant readers.

This book, though it didn't hit the spot for me, would be great for young readers, especially young boys. The adventures and random blurbs included in the book will hold the attention of a young reader, along with the pictures, large font, and manageable chapters. The holiday sections could be useful for introducing holidays or finding fun ways to think new and creatively about them.

i can see why this was a library discard book. it was just all over the place - so much so that it wasn't much of a joy to read. the characters had some misconceptions that were understandable, but i believe that the author took it a little too far on some of them.

Simon loved this book! And the chapter on Valentine's Day actually had me laughing out loud. Something for everyone.

This would be a good chapter book for a second or third grader.
