The Bob Ross paintings were, of course, gorgeous. I like that one page is dedicated to the drawings to give a great scenery visual for babies!

That being said the choices in words for the ABC’s were questionable for a baby board book.

Normally ABC books have the letter starting at the beginning of the word, not incorporated elsewhere. For example for “X”, the choice in this book was to use “miX lots of colors”.

This was too complex (“Tree leaves are painted Using Sap Green. And Van Dyke Brown to paint the Wood.”) too for the baby/toddler audience of this book.

It was a miss for me. I wouldn’t recommend it, or take it out again at the library. I will find other ABC books for baby that has better letter to word associations and gives more of an appropriate skill level.
