Absolution - Book Five in the Masters Series (Series 4)
After twelve years in the British military, army officer Mia Masters is just about done with the uniform and is ready to join the rest of her family in Philadelphia.
On her last night based in Germany, Mia's team throw a surprise leaving party to show exactly how much she is loved and will be missed by all her friends and fellow soldiers. Little does she know that by the end of the night she’ll meet some people who are not quite so enamoured by her, and who have plans for her that don’t involve a long and happy retirement.
Zander Sheppard has been an FBI agent for over fifteen years, having joined the agency straight from college. When he returns to Philadelphia after being undercover for three years, and having spent another year recovering from multiple gunshot wounds after the operation ended badly, he’s pretty sure his life is finally getting back on track.
Ok, he knows he’s not the same man as he used to be, and there are obvious signs that his personality has changed, but when he’s faced with an actual damsel in distress and treats her like she’s something he’s scraped off his shoe, he realises that his mental health is anything but healthy and he needs to do something about it. Fast!

Devastation
Mia recovering from a car accident and attack in Germany and Zander recovering from being an undercover FBI agent with human traffickers. Meet on MRI's first day in Philly to see her family and Zander's first day watching the desk in Aaron's health and fitness center. By mistaken identity Zanders litterly hustled Mia out of her brother facility thinking she is the stalker that had been banned. After finding out how wrong he was he gets treatment and tries to help Mia as much as possible without being to pushy. Great twist and turns so good to see a lot of the characters from the other series. Beth Abbott is a true craftsman of suspense, mystery, romance and combining all these series together! I highly recommend!!!!

Wow
Mia and Zander sure gave me a run for the money. I love the twists and turns in this story and healed my breath to see if they stayed together.
I have read at least 3 series by this author and they are all memorable. I rarely re-read a story but the most memorable for me are Hannah and Danny in "Living" and Drew, Tony, and Vicky in "Healing". (All in Alpha Company Women series)
Please try one and hope you keep reading them.
