Jeannette Rankin was the first female elected to Congress, her first vote ever was to vote against entering WW1, and she is the only person to have voted against entering both WW1 and WW2. And yet, when I searched the catalog of my 80 library system, I found zero adult biographies of her and only a handful of old juvenile bios.
