Lifeblood: A Poetry Collection

Rate this book
Life is not only beautiful, but complicated, dark, hurtful, and strange. In Lifeblood: A Poetry Collection, these emotions are explored in poems that grow and evolve over the course of a decade. In times of happiness and in times of bitter sadness, these poems were jotted down on scraps of paper in an attempt to make sense of the world and its maze of contradictions. Taken as a whole, the poetry within these pages represent growth, existential rumination, and breakthroughs to coping with loss and reaching peace. Though the themes these poems touch on are universal, the style in which they are written often doesn’t stick to an established, traditional pattern. Although many people think poetry must conform to a narrow definition of what poetry should be, this volume doesn’t, and embraces the wild, untamed side of the art. It’s raw, emotional, and dark, just like life.
