Very slow, the first case was very interesting and seemed to be leading to a better book than what it turned out to be. I probably won’t read this again.

Very good read, I had this book in our bathroom for months, I noticed people would go into the bathroom and stay longer, it was because the stories were so detailed, and yet short, a story per chapter. True Crime adds truth, but the suspense of why, how and where. Many of the cases covered where news headlines, but in the book the stories are expanded and in such details, it is like you are there witnessing the detectives doing their job.

Satisfying as regards length and breadth of topic. Some details are wrong, though, and most of the stories are just skimmed over.

Some of the stories within this book are so intense I cannot read too many in one go. In saying that, it is exceptionally well written as all the Paul B. Kidd books I have read have been. I also am liking how there is such a mix of crime stories from different time periods, types of crime and cities.

I quite enjoyed reading this book, particularly because I recognised a lot of the stories from the news and a couple of horrible local crimes also. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in Australia
