small and smart, 'Every Bird, To You' is full of clipped explanations and stoppages of phrase such as 'you bury me'. the book itself puts on a show of how one might hero his or her way, and does so without relying on the abandoned towns the circus may have skipped. it's a firm and precise place the poems, herein, come from. the bird alone is not a gift, but the bird, every, is.
