Very clear and precise descriptions about codependency which has always confused me. This little book gives clear direction pointing one to Christ and away from people-pleasing. I think many people fall into codependency without realizing thinking they are just being a kind and loving person when in fact they are causing undo burdens and resentment in the long run. I honestly wish I would have had this little book a long time ago.

Worthwhile
I am a codependent i can relate to everything in this book. I need to change. I will be re-reading this book often. At last I know myself and know how to change. I am sure God directed me to this book. As I am so unhappy and alone and God loves me and wants to set me free. Better late than never!

It was a good book to start on the topic and gain more information. I appreciated the direction of this book but found it a little too religious for my specific tastes.

June Hunt, does a wonderful job of defining and giving examples of codependency. In this 94 page booklet, June explains the characteristics and causes of codependency [relationship addiction]. This is from a faith based perspective and she illustrates what causes repeated cycles of this behavior.
To conclude, June takes us through recovery steps to the solution. Through this book you can learn how to move toward healthy interdependent relationships. This little jewel is worth a repeat read several times per year as a quick self-check and proactive preventative maintenance measure.

This was such an eye-opening and insightful read. It gave me a much better understanding of what codependency can look like and how easily we can lose ourselves while trying to take care of, support, or please other people. It really made me reflect on boundaries, relationships, and the importance of taking responsibility for my own emotions rather than constantly trying to manage everyone else’s. I loved the reminder that caring about people doesn’t mean sacrificing your own needs or constantly putting yourself last. Learning to create healthier boundaries isn’t selfish—it’s necessary for healthy relationships and for having a healthier relationship with yourself.
