This is an education book for kiddos, all about seeds. What they are, what they do, where they come from, how they work. With Exceptionally beautiful simple watercolored drawings.

A Seed is a Promise
By Claire Merrill
**Non-fiction picture book
Pages 29
Copyright- 1973

A Seed is a Promise is a short, but cute story about seeds. The book talks about how seeds turn into bigger things like flowers, fruit, and vegetables. The author did a good job of asking questions of the reader to get the reader thinking about seeds and where they come from. The pictures are bright and colorful adding meaning to the story. The only reason I give this book 4 out of 5 stars is because the book is a little outdated since the copyright is 1973. I am sure that by now other books about seeds have been created with a more modern twist on it.
