Phil Maggitti is a freelance writer and editor who lives in southeastern Pennsylvania with his wife, four cats, two pug dogs, a Boston terrier, and a life-size poster of Bob Marley.

He has written eight books and more than eight hundred articles since quitting his day job in 1982.

Although Mr. Maggitti has written on a variety topics for numerous publications, the majority of his work has explored the points at which the lives of animals and people intersect.
