Erik delivers another romance novel worthy of the tears. Penny, bad girl rocker, meets Sandra, super genius and sparks fly. It's key to read before Girl Next Door.
I love this series so much. Each book, we were presendted with a unique love story yet with that same recipe that I loved which was used in the previous books, I love Sandra, I lover her views and actions, in general. I love her decisions, her willingness to help with her own money. Along with the others, San was an amazing and compassionate character even from the previous books, so I was really waiting for her happy ending. Now, Penny, my heart just breaks for her, her situation was same with my other half, or not,,,Mandy. How she was longing for her family. It is heartbreaking. I love these two but I am not just completely sold with 'their' story, I don't know, I was looking for something more, maybe I find their relationship too fast? It just wasn't that for me but that ending, it was solid.
Oh, now we finally know why Jane/Riley always has her stock of Granola bars. My god. And who really is behind her "Jane" nickname. I swear, these additonal informations completes me, it makes me feel this characters are real as we were given an extension to their story/life. And missy, that girl. well. lady...
I thought I had left a review I am on my third read .oh well no spoilers. This one tore at my heart. Don't know how many times I have been in tears despite the fact I have read it three times..There are many difficult life lessons in this book you think you would be depressed by them but because of this authors unique way of writing you come away feeling happy. It way it's one of my favourites Sandra is a great character you really fall in love with her and Penney. You pulled a fast one with monster liked that. If you have not read these books you are in for a treat I cannot recommend them highly enough. Ten stars.because I can.
As usual I was not disappointed by the author. I loved reading about Sandra and her people. I got a kick out of the fact she had met Vicky Davenport and could only imagine the day in the life of those two together. Penny's character was a great addition to this family of misfits. Can't wait to read more on Victoria and Mia and Sandra's foundation.
I enjoyed learning about Sandra and loved how show was determined to use her money to help the unfortunate. Penny had so many bad things happen in her life she needed to see there was good in the world also. Seeing Penny and Sandra grow closer was great.
Penny, you go girl. Kiss ass and take names hard core woman meets a nice gentle loving woman. Someones finds when your life is in the dumps someone that is unexpected and a bit off the norm, at least in their initial appearance, can change everything.
Read this book via Audible. A cute story that can cause tearing up quite often. Once again the addition of the characters from the other books is fun. A dark "meat cute" but well worth it. The only minor complaint is they fall in love instantly. There was a lot of pain that was resolved a bit too quickly. These are fun short reads but sometimes I wish they were a bit longer develop the passion a bit more. I almost want to go buy my own Monster and Fang.
