Dear Hayley,

I'm assuming you're still hungover, so I'll make this brief.

Last night, you slipped under my sheets (without my permission), and we almost had sex. I got the hell out of the bed once I realized it was you,

I actually finished this over a week ago and just now realized I never marked it as "read."

That said, I'll keep this short...

I love - absolutely LOVE - Whitney G. and her writing.
I have pretty much loved all her books.

But this book didn't feel like a Whitney book.

It felt rushed, the characters were underdeveloped, and it lacked the energy and magnetism I have come to expect from a book by Ms. G.

I have noticed she's been getting away from writing her fuller novels and putting out more

Meh. Just meh.

I'll keep this short and sweet. I adore Whitney's writing. I haven't read a book of hers I haven't thoroughly enjoyed...until this one.

The concept was phenomenal. The set up, delicious. The execution, completely lacking. The characters fell flat and came off as two dimensional. There was nothing endearing about either one of them. The plot felt rushed and unfinished. The flashbacks from present to past felt disjointed.

But ultimately, the nail in the coffin for me was

She was still stunning as hell. The type of woman who left an imprint so deep on your mind that you simply learned to accept she’d always be a part of you in some way.

OVER US, OVER YOU is a romantic comedy with the ”in love with the older brother’s best friend” trope. I have to be honest, I read a story earlier this year with a very similar plot but this one here, hands down was the better of the two! Whitney G. is one of my top favorite aut

➦I don't think I've minded this book as much as some people did. I actually kind of enjoyed it. It was a quick read and the heroine, despite being a bit immature, didn't really get on my nerves. :D

➦So. The BESTEST part of this book was the overprotective asshole of a brother. It was so over the top that I just loved it lol.

➦I know, go figure. But it so tickled my pickle. I really really like a murderous brother in a suit who might or might not have a 45 and a shovel. And people for.. u

Overall Opinion: Well...🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like the word for this book is "rushed". It wasn't all that long, but I don't think that was necessarily the problem. I felt like it just wasn't up to the quality that I can expect from Whitney G.. I got the impression that she was rushed when writing it or something. I never fully felt a connection to either of the mcs, and I also never felt their connection to each other. It was just surface deep, and I think it could've been much better. The blur

I've been on a best friends sister book binge lately, so I was super excited to one click this one release day, the taboo crossing the line of dating gets me every time.
There were some parts of this story that I enjoyed others not so much. Admittedly the heroine did grate on my nerves, her work ethic sucked, everything was handed to her on a silver platter by her brother so we never really saw her evolve, also she came across way younger than what her stated age was in the book.

I love a story that goes from childhood crush to lovers. Throw in a Best friends little sister. Add a lot of history and bam you get Whitney G’s latest book.

I liked a lot about this book. Yet at the same time so much bugged me. Definitely wasn’t the writing, as always I enjoyed her writing style.

Hayley...... where to start. She was my downfall with this book. Her immaturity, her worst. The way she presented herself in a working environment. She came across as a spoiled brat, she got everythin

I think if I would've had to read one more page of this heroine I'd scream. She was one of the most immature characters I've had the misfortune of coming across.

This woman had everything handed to her on a golden platter by her brother, and repaid his never-ending kindness by lying to his face repeatedly. Not taking the job he created for her seriously, or respectfully. She claimed to have wanted to be independently successful with her own business, yet she had not the slightest ou

So...this is awkward.

I'm a huge fan of Whitney G's short & steamy stories. I can't quit them. So, naturally when I realized she has a new book out and it's about a girl who's in love with her brother's best friend, I just had to read it. Plus that blurb was enticing. It was hot and exactly what I wanted to read that I was already fanning myself in anticipation.

Unfortunately, all that's good about this book stayed on that blurb and didn't translate to the overall story. The execution felt off.

If you have been a fan of Whitney G. for a while and you read her Mid-Life Love series, you’ve been waiting for this book since forever! Whitney has been teasing us about Hayley and Corey for what feels the longest time and now, FINALLY, it’s in my hands.

Over Us, Over You can be considered a standalone novel but I highly recommend reading the Mid-Life Love series before because many of its characters (especiall

I had a hard time rating this book 3.5 stars, because up until the end I really liked it. Over Us, Over You was cute, sweet and there were some pretty sexy scenes. I liked it, but I wasn't blown away by wasn't overly exciting and the romance felt a little bit rushed. I didn’t see any of the charm or playfulness that I came to love in other books by this author. Also, I think the story could have been expanded on some more!

The heroine is so fucking pathetic. She throws herself at the hero and he doesn't want her ass.
She sneaks into his hotel room to sleep with him and he thinks he's going to fuck his fuck buddy but before that he called the hotel concierge and told him to make sure the heroine didn't leave with anyone so he basically cockblocked her but he sure can call his fuck buddy to fuck her if the fuck buddy got there on time before the heroine he would have slept with her.

Ah, fuck...

Regardless of the fact that I love Whitney G's writing, and her novellas ( which is quite the achievement, cause novellas are really hard to be made as a whole substantial read cause of its short form but she manages just fine in making them these perfect little gems) but we are not talking about her novella here, *sigh*

I think I had an issue with these characters, just like I was disappointed with book 1 featuring Jonathan Statham and Claire, who are, in fact, secondary characters i

So sad about the execution. The idea was fab, the blurb gave me actual tingles, I was SO excited about this book and... *poof* It all vanished in a puff of smoke.
No character development. The heroine was such an immature brat! The MCs were lacking any type of connection or chemistry, everything felt very rushed. Overuse of ellipses. Overall it left me the impression of an unachieved and amateurish story.

Whitney G delivered all kind of amazing novellas and books but I'm sad to say this one

Whenever I get a new book by Whitney G, I'm ecstatic. Her writing is by far one of my favorite. She excels in writing saucy and sexy books that often feature a jerk of a hero which I adore. It's one of my guilty pleasures.

She also writes some of the best conversations via email - they make me crack up and put a smile on my face.

Over Us, Over You was no exception. As can be seen in the blurb - there will be a plethora of emails to chuckle and smile about. It's reached a point where I'm looking fo

Hayley Statham grew up in Ohio in foster care. Now grown up, she wanted to make a name for herself & make it on her own. She even changed her last name to Smith. She moved to Seattle & started a coffee/wine bar with her best friend, that’s now gone under. She feels like a total failure, & needs a fresh start. Her only option is to call her overprotective older brother Jonathan. He’s a self-made billionaire & the CEO of Statham Industries. She heads to San Francisco to work for her br

Even though I think I haven’t reviewed them, I’ve read a few novels and novellas by this author, and I’ve enjoyed them. But this book was a complete mess. I can barely believe this was written by the same author as Sincerely, Carter, which I really liked.

I first heard about Over Us, Over You a few weeks ago during the cover reveal tour, and I was so excited to see it was a “falling for my best friend’s little sister” romance. I patiently waited for its release, but it dis

If you've read the Mid-Life Love series then you know Jonathan...Hayley is his sister and Corey is his best friend. They all grew up together and all had some pretty intense situations for different reasons. One thing that was the same was that they all looked out for each other.

Jonathan and Corey are a few years older than Hayley and you guessed it, Hayley was always crushing on Corey. They were very close friends until Hayley interpreted something wrong and quit having anything to do w
Fast pace and easy to read stories are among the things I like the most about Whitney G’s publications. Over Us, Over You provides both as well as a fun and sexy plot I read in a single sitting.

When Haley’s dreams go belly up, she turns to her brother Jonathan Statham for help, but planning his wedding is taking too much time. Being a loving and overprotective brother though, he doesn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand through his best friend and business partner Corey, the boy who used to be
Sorry, but I don’t get off by embarrassing the female protagonists.
Whitney is a wonderful author, but this predictable scenario makes me question her motivation.

The book is also not safe.
I have ZERO respect for any hero who says “I love you, but now is not the time” because he’s not ready to settle down and wants to sow his oats.
Someone pleaser explain to me WHAT kind of love that is and why I shouldn’t be nauseated?

I do not like this book at all. The story, the characters, the plot are so immature. Maybe because of the short length of the book, Miss G is in hurry to pack everything into such short story. Do not get me wrong, a novella can be a good satisfying story.

Maybe my taste for rom com has been changing after 3 years reading many romance books. Over Us, Over You is just so over for me.

I had been waiting for Haley and Corey's and Whitney G. did not disappoint!!!

Corey's need to protect Haley from himself fell short when he realized he could loose her for good but at the same time he could loose Jonathan's friendship as well.

Corey & Haley's relationship had me laughing, swooning, tearing up and needing to hurt someone (Jonathan 😉)

Um, where do I start. Not really up to the authors usual excellence. Story didn't quite gel for me.
Ending seemed rushed even with epilogue.
I didn't hate it but not exactly in love either.

I don't feel this story at all even though the blurb was so funny that it caught my attention right away.

First the heroine seems such a spoiled child not realising the chance she has! She seems a little to ungrateful for my taste and I have a feeling it will get worse.

What made me stop reading was how certain situation were absolutely not believable at all. First it was the way people all interact in the book without a care to who they talk to. I get that some people are blunt but in he

-The Good. That blurb and cover. Top notch. It sold me on the story and I one-clicked, like the greedy book-hoarder that I am. I love the friends to lovers trope, I love the best friend’s sister angle, I was intrigued by it all. I went in with high hopes, because I liked Ms. G’s Mid-Life Love and I was pleasantly surprised that this book is tied to that series. Hayley is Jonathan’s sister (the hero from Mid-Life Love) and Corey is his best friend. With that start and the tease that is t

Over us, Over You was the flattest, most shallow book I've read in a while. The plot line was non-existing and what little background there was wildly unrealistic. Here's a few things of the top of my head that bothered me about Over Us, Over You:

1. HAYLEY. is. such. a. boring. character. She's supposed to have this traumatic childhood but now her brother, Jonathan, is a self-made billionaire (that's right, a billionaire ) and because she doesn't want the world to know this,

Short review here.

I liked that the two MC were best friends first and had a sweet friendship as well.

But I struggled with their reasoning for why their friendship was put on hold and how it was confusing and fuzzy on details.

The heroine irritated me in certain instances in the story as she came across as immature and flighty (work environment was just a no and her work ethic's).

Hero was all over the map. At times I like his sweetness and pursuit of the heroine and but then he d
