First of all I loved the book! The blogging world sometimes makes me laugh that so many people attempt to become an author. They dont have any background and they just claim to have a dream of writing. I will say a lot of them fail. Far too many think they can conquer the Indie published author world. This author does! She totally nailed it! The writing, language and characters are awesome. There were many examples of little details that were spoken and then repeated in the story. For example Dr ...more

As I told the author-HOLY HELL- this is an incredible book. AND it is a debut?!?!?!
I became completely engrossed in Drew and Bree's world. Felt every.single.emotion. Despair, fear, grief, first blush of love, compassion and anger.
Drew has such a huge heart. Could be so jaded and beaten down by life but he sees the beauty and hope. He sees the good in people- now for him to trust that it also exists in him. Learning to trust is one of his obstacles as well.
Bree is empowering to see. She has playe

I am…frustrated right now. I was a little on the fence with this book…lots of good things, a few personal issues (on my end really) but I was doing alright and then the ending happened…and now I’m left with a huge WTF moment. And frustrated is just the best word to describe me…

Brianne Abigail Murphy…Bree…she’s a tough girl with a big heart and way too many responsibilities for a 22 year old. Her mother died when she was 13, leav

Holy Moly!!!!! What an ending….I did not see that coming. Totaled is Stacey Grice's debut novel and I have to say I think she did an excellent job. This book was both enjoyable and engaging. I thought the flow and the pace of the story was really good. There were some small parts I thought kind of dragged but nothing bad enough to take away from the enjoyment of the

This is a really great debut novel. I read this in half a day. Very enjoyable and gripping.

Bree is a great character. Apart from her family and her best friend she's never found love. That is until she meets Drew. I loved the build up to their romance. The secondary characters were great too.

This is a really great read. I was totally glued to it. Great storyline full of drama.

What an ending!!! Seriously when is book two out ????

Please note that this is a 4 star review.

I’m not sure where to start with this book or what to say. I really, really enjoyed this book but, and it is a small but, there was something that was missing from the beginning of the book. I can’t quite put my finger on it but there was something just missing. I loved the characters, Drew and Bree alike are both loveable.

Both of them have had terrible things happen to them in the past, Drew especially. He is, to a degree, running from that past. He is

I have read so many books from Indie authors where they think they can write a story and they can't, or they want to write that "one" book to get known or make money.

Then I have read some excellent books that if I weren't reading and reviewing I would have missed out on. So many gems out there too.

This, to me in MHO is a "gem". Its one of those books you open up, start reading, then you start getting more and more comfortable in your chair, then your slouch, then your feet go up, then you just

Since I've been attacked from the author as well as her relatives for not leaving a detailed review here is what I wrote on Amazon. This book started out well but the ending ruined it for me. I don't like to read books with cliffhangers when there is no idea when the next one will be released.

Fantastic!! One of my all time favorite books! The author masterfully crafted characters and a story line that had me hooked from the very beginning. I simply could not put this book down until I had finished. Stop what you are doing and read this book now!

I got to help Stacey brainstorm about her work in progress, and give her feedback before the book came out, or in layman’s terms: nana, nana, boo, boo. I was thr

Totaled, by first-time author Stacey Grice, is an amazing journey of love, heartache, happiness and pain. The story feels real, the emotions are strong. When I first met the main characters I quickly developed a connection with both of them and was pulled into the story from the beginning.

Drew is an MMA fighter in training; he's running from his tragic past and along his journey meets Pat (who I just loved) who helps him overcome a mishap then takes him under his wing. Eventually Pat sends Drew

I have read my fair share of MMA books and I will say this one is completely different from what is already on the market and to me that is the most important thing to me.
Drew, our main male character is running from his crappy past. His past is just plain awful but he is doing everything to not let it define him. In his journey to leave his old life, his car breaks down and he meets a country bumpkin who I so loved. Pat sends him to Mick Murphy’s gym to train for MMA. There he meets his heroine

Totaled was a great start to this series! Who doesn't love a super fly and actually sweet MMA fighter with a gorgeous body, beautiful face and an all around GOOD GUY!?

Drew Dougherty is this man! He's searching for a new start and the flat tire he gets while driving to nowhere just to get away is the biggest stroke of luck he could have ever asked for. Hes grateful for what Mick, the stranger who pulled over to help him, has done. Is in awe of how trusting he is and is humbled by Mick's relation

Drew and Bree. :sigh:

For Stacey Grice's first novel, she really draws you in. From the prologue, you can tell that you're in for a wild ride. She hooks you from the get go. The freaking prologue ends and you're going, huh? What the heck just happened here?? HUH?!

One of the things that I love about this book is that Bree isn't a wuss. Bitch has balls. She can take care of herself, as well as run a business AND take care of her dad and brother. Granted, she has things that she doesn't love and th

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Where to start with my review of Totaled.

Let's get the technical stuff out of the way. This book was well-written and easy-to-read. It was also fast-paced, I finished it in one day.

Now that that's out of the way, here's the good stuff.

I loved this book. I found it to be very refreshing. I had a smile on my face throughout most of this book. I loved all the characters. I loved Bree's best friend, Sue. She made me chuckle. I loved

'Totaled' just raised the bar for my rating skills. This book is definitely a 5-star book...I feel like I need to go back and change most of my 5-star book ratings to 4's because they don't even compare! I actually highlighted things...I NEVER highlight!

I don't think I can write anything about this book without spoiling it. The characters and the settings were real to me. I felt like I was in the story. So many little details like trying to find a pen, wearing high heels to the beach or cleanin

I loved this book! I loved the emotions of the characters, the way that Bree and Drew grew together in their relationship. I laughed at the dynamics of Bree and Sue's relationship and at times felt anger and sadness.

I'm not a fan of spoilers in reviews, so I'll just say that I can't wait for the next one!! When I ended this book, I felt sad and had a small case of reader withdrawal that there wasn't more. However, with the way it ended, I know there is more to come and I'm excited.

Okay, let me just say how BRILLIANT this hidden gem is! I was scrolling through GR and it popped up and once I read the first few lines I went straight to Amazon to one-click.

Let me just say it was so refreshing .. it wasn’t a dominant jerk with anger issues. Drew is sweet and caring and just mmm! It is a wonderful debut novel.. yeah I was shocked to. A DEBUT novel. Stacey writes so beautifully and I really just loved this book. Didn’t love the cliffhanger but I can deal.. can’t wait to read mo

I read this book, twice! I loved it! I love Stacey and her writing style. She pulls you in so fast that you just don't want to come out! I couldn't put it down. I loved the relationship between Bre and Drew. All the characters work together to make this one heck of a book! This isn't your typical romance book, I loved the manly-ness thrown in with the MMA aspect. I can't wait to see what comes next from Stacey Grice!

The male POV sounded a bit feminine to me. His internal monologue sounded too much a girl then a guy's. This is my opinion.

The story was bland. I need some angst and it felt like most of it was about the characters' backgrounds.

After all we've been through, Stacey?

Not cool.

With that said, this book is well written. Flawless really. The characters are lovable and I found myself thinking about them even after I finished the book. I will definitely be getting 'Tapped' next.....hehe.

At twenty-two, Bree’s day-to-day life is overwhelming, taking care of her widowed father, her special needs brother, and the family gym as well as attending online college on the sly. As

When I was not reading this book, I was thinking about these characters. This is a grab and not let go story that will keep you interested regardless if you enjoy the MMA fighting theme or not. I do not want to repeat what it is about, as you can read that in other reviews, but I do want to tell you how this book made me feel.

I must confess, at first I did not like Bree. I thought she was too bitchy – especially to her best friend – but I wanted to know why so I kept reading, and I am so glad I
