There was so much to unpack in this beautiful book. Don’t let the genre or the dreamy cover fool you. Roberts gives readers lots to consider!
Things like:
❓ Is marriage really that important to you?
❓ Is challenging yourself really worth it?
❓ What’s the problem with staying in your comfort zone?
❓ Why is it important to look back on life choices?
❓ Why do we isolate ourselves as we get older?
I loved the opportunity to return to Crete and Pine Forest Rescue to spend time with old and new characters alike. The author’s choice of taking the road less travelled with Beth and Artemis was a welcome change as was her inclusion of mature characters getting on with life and living it to the fullest.
This book doesn’t need to be read following There’s Something About Greece, but it would be lovely to be familiar with the rescue center and the characters in this lovely village.

This was an ok read for me. If you’re looking for a sweet, clean romance with a number of characters and lots of descriptions of scenery, this could be a big hit for you. The author made me want to visit Crete - that’s for sure!
The story involves a young English woman, Beth, who has broken off her engagement because her fiancé (now her ex-fiancé) has decided he doesn’t believe in marriage at all. She uses all her vacation time and heads to a dog rescue place in Crete, for four weeks, hoping to get Marco off her mind. While there, she finds herself among a lot of friendly people, with whom she gets pretty close. Apparently a few of the characters appeared in a previous book, but I didn’t feel that I was missing anything, as the author does a good job with providing any required background information. There’s also a maybe-love-interest in Artemis, a local man who has just separated from his wife. (I couldn’t get over the name being used for a male, as Artemis is the name of an ancient Greek goddess). I think the most interesting couple was Doll and Michael, professional dancers, who are taking some time off the competition circuit and are also volunteering at the dog rescue.
It was a nice story, but nothing that pulled me in particularly.

Beth has broken up with her fiancé when she realizes he doesn’t ever really want to get married so she takes a leave of absence from her job to heal her broken heart and flies to Crete to work at Judith’s dog rescue center for a month to try to get over him. But everywhere she turns, love is in the air, as even her hosts Judith and Lars are getting ready to tie the knot. Beth and her new friend Hannah start to make friends with the locals and explore the local beaches and nightlife. And the food. Oh my stars. The descriptions of the food were amazingly delicious! As Beth starts to fall for Artemis, it seems he has a broken heart of his own to get over. A special surprise takes place just before the wedding that changes everything for Beth and makes her see that she might have a second chance at love after all.
This was a feel good story with loads of animals and the scenery was gorgeous. I was quickly drawn in and found myself looking forward to picking it up and escaping to Greece every chance I could.

We return to the beautiful island of Crete and Judith’s dog rescue in All You Need is Greece. Beth has broken up with her fiancé and flees to Crete in an effort to end her broken heart but it appears everywhere she turns, there are wedding bells as her hosts Judith and Lars are about to tie the knot. With the help of fellow volunteer Hannah, Beth begins to enjoy herself and finds herself becoming close to Artemis as they explore the local beaches and nightlife. Although it seems Artemis has his own broken heart and secrets. I really enjoyed this novel. It features well loved characters from her previous novel as well as new ones who blend in seamlessly. It’s a warm-hearted feel good novel that I highly recommend. I was soon drawn into the novel and couldn’t put it down. Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the chance to review.

oh man i really really tried to like this book! after reading everyone’s reviews i was so excited, but the writing style was not for me! let a ton of unanswered questions, chemistry was not there, and artemis is definitely a CREEP!

One can’t do wrong when cracking open a new novel by Sue Robertson.
I like that we get to revisit characters from her previous book and the animal rescue shelter.
Beth is recovering from a broken engagement but is she really ready for a new one?
I totally identified with Hannah, nose always in a book, and eager to get back to her book.
I love the donkeys and mishievous dogs.
I thought Artemis was too smooth and slick and wasn’t sorry to see his exit.
The characters ended up with exactly who they should be.

I always really enjoy reading Sue Roberts' books, and I enjoyed reading this new summer read from her.
The story is about a woman called Beth who splits up with her fiance, and then she goes to Crete in Greece to work with animals to try and get over her heartbreak and get away from her life for a while. She meets a man called Artemis there, who she likes and fancies, and gets on well with. However, her fiance wants her back, and he will do anything to get what he wants. Who will she choose to be with?
This is a lovely summer romance story which will keep you entertained and delighted while you are on holiday, or while you are sitting in the garden with a cool drink. Highly recommended!

As always, Sue writes phenomenal books about Greece and its people. She gets the sounds, sights, and smells and feels absolutely spot on. As a huge Greece lover. Each time I read one of her books, it transports me right back to my summer holidays I spend in Greece.

We meet Beth, she has recently split up from her fiancé and decides she needs to get away to help her get over him. She sees an advert for volunteers wanted for a dog rescue centre in Crete, Greece and decides to apply.
This story follows Beth’s Greek adventure. She meets lots of new people, reassess what she wants from life and maybe meets a new man, but is the man all he says he is?
I loved the characters, they were well written and quirky. They all wanted the best for the dogs and the other animals that the centre rescued. They were there for each other and supported each other.
I don’t want to say any more about the plot as it would give too much away. This is a good summer read that you will keep turning the pages of. The author obviously did a lot of research about Crete, you felt you were there with the descriptions of the places and the sites Beth and the other characters saw.

I found this one to be cute but unpolished. It was engaging, but somehow I couldn't lose myself in it as I was hoping to. The setting was beautiful and the author's love of the place shone through. The characters were sympathetic and realistic. But it just wasn't for me.

Another love letter to the people and Islands of Greece. I read this after I'd just come back from my holiday in Greece so it felt like I'd extended my holiday in the sunshine!
We go back to Pine Forest Rescue in Crete and the story revolves around Beth who has fled her life for the summer to get over being dumped before her wedding. She volunteers at the Dog sanctuary and is soon at home. She gets to see another love story unfold with the upcoming wedding of Judith and Lars. But she soon has a potential new lover herself in Artemis, a local Greek hottie!
Beth and Artemis are both harbouring secrets and broken hearts. Their story was full of bittersweet moments and it was lovely to see it against the later in life love between Judith and Lars.

All You Need is Greece is a perfect read for summer. Set in Crete, let this book transport you into the delicious food and scenery of Greece. How I wish that I was enjoying the beautiful vista of Greece right now!
Beth wants some distance from her ex fiance and decides to take a long break from her work to help Judith with her pet rescue program as a volunteer. This book is a series but can be read as a standalone story. Beth makes new friends in Crete, and though she finds love everywhere, she starts realizing what she wants.
This book is so beautiful. All the characters are just so wonderful. There's community, love, and friendship. The story is all about enjoying life no matter what age you are, finding love and purpose no matter life throws at us. I fell in love with all the characters of this book.

I really enjoyed this fast, fun read set in Greece. It's an escape to Greece, a perfect beach read for me. I loved all of the characters, both the locals and the volunteers. The main character Beth heads to the island of Crete in Greece to volunteer at a dog rescue after breaking up with her fiance. There she is surrounded by owner Judith and her fiance Lars, her niece Tanya and some of the other volunteers, Hannah an avid reader, but shy, as well as Doll and Michael world star dance champions. Once there she meets a handsome local, who has secrets and she wonders if she might find romance with him. I loved that it includes some of my favorite hobbies-dancing, reading, and dogs. I definitely am looking forward to reading more of Sue Roberts's books. Ironically I had already bought My Big Fat Greek Summer. I can't wait to dive into another fun romance set in Greece.

Yet, amidst this, a prevailing sense of enjoyment coursed through me as I delved into its pages, and I believe this book could be labeled as the perfect beach read. The author's adeptness at illustrating landscapes shone vividly, whisking me away to the captivating land of Crete alongside the characters. Through an infusion of enigmatic elements and moments of both humor and endearment, I wholeheartedly extend my recommendation of this book to those in search of a breezy, summertime book.

All You Need Is Greece fits into one of my favourite romance genres featuring holiday travel off to far-flung destinations to nurse a broken heart! I swear travel is the only way to mend a broken heart is new places, people, food, and experiences. So, this was right up my alley!
The writing transports you to Crete with vivid descriptions of the landscape and mouth-watering food portrayals. I felt I was hungry for the majority of scenes involving food as the account read divinely. Heart-warming read that takes its time to deliver a well-developed story at an enjoyable pace.
Beth, the female protagonist, has down-to-earth energy, friendliness, and supportive nature making her an engaging character and easy to read. She embraces her experience as a volunteer at the dog rescues with the get-stuck-in ethos and a go-with-the-flow outlook that reflects her character arc’s journey transformation as she figures out her post-break-up life situation. She’s not stuck in a beat-herself-up mentality because her ducks aren’t in a row and it’s a refreshing angle to read.
The cast of characters provides the perfect matrix of people to help Beth complete the soul-searching on her escape to Crete. Beth finds her tribe in roommate and holiday buddy Hannah, flirtations with Artemis and the exploits of pro-dancers Michael and Doll, and the steady guidance of Judith and Lars who run the dog rescue – there is a lot of great vibes from the group and the interactions between the character came across natural like you could be sitting people-watching as the story unfolds.
One of the main reasons, I enjoyed this book was it had a great surprise twist! A good writer can keep the reader guessing about how things will end. There were some big themes at play in this book, poising a lot of big life questions, but two that I think appeared very subtle were ‘Is love like a throwaway commodity?’ and ‘How do we value love and relationships in our lives?’ I’ve read a lot of books in romance where the big break-up happens with the evil ex and the brave female protagonist faces her pain, becomes a better version of herself, and goes on to find brand new shiny love! All You Need Is Greece fits into one of my favourite romance genres featuring holiday travel off to far-flung destinations to nurse a broken heart! I swear travel is the only way to mend a broken heart is new places, people, food, and experiences. So, this was right up my alley!
The writing transports you to Crete with vivid descriptions of the landscape and mouth-watering food portrayals. I felt I was hungry for the majority of scenes involving food as the account read divinely. Heart-warming read that takes its time to deliver a well-developed story at an enjoyable pace.
Beth, the female protagonist, has down-to-earth energy, friendliness, and supportive nature making her an engaging character and easy to read. She embraces her experience as a volunteer at the dog rescues with the get-stuck-in ethos and a go-with-the-flow outlook that reflects her character arc’s journey transformation as she figures out her post-break-up life situation. She’s not stuck in a beat-herself-up mentality because her ducks aren’t in a row and it’s a refreshing angle to read.
The cast of characters provides the perfect matrix of people to help Beth complete the soul-searching on her escape to Crete. Beth finds her tribe in roommate and holiday buddy Hannah, flirtations with Artemis and the exploits of pro-dancers Michael and Doll, and the steady guidance of Judith and Lars who run the dog rescue – there is a lot of great vibes from the group and the interactions between the character came across natural like you could be sitting people-watching as the story unfolds.
One of the main reasons, I enjoyed this book was it had a great surprise twist! A good writer can keep the reader guessing about how things will end. There were some big themes at play in this book, poising a lot of big life questions, but two that I think appeared very subtle were ‘Is love like a throwaway commodity?’ and ‘How do we value love and relationships in our lives?’ I’ve read a lot of books in romance where the big break-up happens with the evil ex and the brave female protagonist faces her pain, becomes a better version of herself, and goes on to find brand new shiny love! The book blurb/idea behind this story sounds so cute. "Following the split, I had been thinking about getting away somewhere. So, the ad for the volunteers at the dog rescue in Crete that I saw this morning could be perfect." What a great idea for an adventure. I wanted to be immersed in this story and taken on a trip to Greece. I tried three different times and just wasn't captivated. It felt like being told a recap, not living and experiencing it. I made it to 26% and don't think I can keep going. It might just be the beginning of the school year stress and anxiety (I'm a teacher) but I have to DNF this one. Darn.

Set in the same location as 'There's something about Greece', this book quickly transports the reader to the wonderful sights and sounds of Corfu. Once again the host, Judith, wins over the reader as she prepares for her wedding but it is the motley array of animals who steal the show. For newcomer Beth however, love is the last thing on her mind as she has just left a relationship behind. Will it be Artemis who changes her mind, or will her ex-love woo her back? A great book to read by the pool or to banish those post-holiday blues.

This is the perfect light read to take with yourself on a holiday. It’s enjoyable and has just the right amount of depth. The romance part was not what I expected but it turned out well. I liked the setting of a dog shelter in a small village in Crete, the description of the place was great and the characters were nice and friendly.

This was such a gentle read, with lovely characters and a slightly unusual ending, in that the main character Beth, doesn't necessarily follow the expected route of ending up with a ravishing new love. I also found the writer's style to be quite unusual, using simple prose and always being authentic and using what felt like a 'normal' view of the world. The scenes were set well which meant I could imagine myself at the sanctuary, taking walks and getting to know new people. A lovely read.

I went to Crete in June and visited a lot of ruins, museums and all which is necessary for a book based travel (I wanted to go there since I saw the Prince of Lilies at the Ashmolean)
I saw a different side of the place in this book and it was a lot of fun to discover places I didn't see and read about food I loved.
It's an entertaining and compelling rom-com that made me wish I could go back to Crete

Beth’s relationship has broken up, so what better escape than to visit her aunt in Greece, but when she falls for someone else she needs to question if she is really over her ex.
This is a novel filled with friendship, animals and such vivid descriptions you won’t want to put it down. These characters were so full of life I wanted to be with them.
Roberts writes a full equilibrium that I loved and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me access to this book! I was in the mood for a light summer love story and this delivered with some lovely characters! I adored each character in this book and appreciated the unexpected plot. I thought there were some parts of the book that were really built up but then didn’t go anywhere, didn’t have closure or were just given a cursory mention. I will definitely say this author accomplished making me want to visit Greece ASAP!

All You Need is Greece by Sue Roberts is a Greek Island Escape novel. It has all the makings of a fun rom com, starting with a girl who just broke up and goes to a foreign country to forget about a guy. This rom com definitely has a twist, and I think readers of this genre will enjoy it. The Greek setting was absolutely lovely. Great book overall. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

I have not read any of her books before but i have heard about them so I had high expectations. I loved all the new friendships that were made. There was lost of cute scenes with everyone. Overall I loved the book and will read more books of hers.

Beth has travelled to Crete for a month to get over a relationship with Marcos - although she still loves him he does not want to marry. As she works at a pet refuge, she meets new people and gets a new perspective on her life. When Marcos shows up, what will she do? A fun escapist read!
