When the Queen of Hearts' tarts go missing, the case is turned over to Mother Goose, Chief Detective of Nursery Rhyme Crimes, who opens her secret book of criminals and their crimes in order to review all those in the nursery rhyme world that could be possible suspects.
I enjoyed this book. The illustrations were wonderful, and I like how the story reintroduced each of Mother Goose's story characters. I did find the pages to have a bit too much writing (I would have found it a better children's story if she broke the words into two pages with different illustrations. I also think the author could have used Mother Goose with her notepad a bit more to make it a little more multimodal.
This is the mystery of the Queen of Hearts missing tarts and Mother Goose, Chief Detective of Nursery Rhyme Crime is on the case. We follow her along with the clues to try to discover who has stolen the tarts. All of the old favorite nursery rhyme characters are mentioned or appear and it is very humorous. I highly recommend this for school age children looking for some fun.
