I’m a big sucker for Hallmark Channel Christmas movies, like big time! A Groom for Christmas felt just like one of those movies. It gave me all those warm fuzzes that the Christmas Hallmark movies do too.

There is one thing Graceann Palmer needs to do before she goes to her family’s house for Christmas and that is to find a fake fiancé. In walks Jake Falco “The Falcon” as Graceann remembers him. Jake was a few years older than her in school, the bad boy that she always admired from

'He raised his head as she approached. His eyes, blue as a bright winter sky, lit with awareness. He brazenly scanned her in the same way he used to check out some of the other girls in school, but never her. Her heart pounded, the sound pulsing in her ears.'

A cute, fast paced story told in dual points of view; throw in some instant love and what do you have? A Hallmark movie.... or would that be a Hallmark book?

Jake, known as The Falcon from his youth, blows back in to town 14 years later. He's mysterious and has a few secrets he holds close to his chest. As for his heart? Well, it's safely guarded by a fortress of a wall, or so he thinks. As for trust issues, well, he has that in spades. He didn't have a good up bringing and with the life he leads

4 1/2 stars for this cute one...half off for reasons I will expand upon in the full review!
The review is up today!
A bit cheesy and formulaic. I liked Jake but Graceann was abit dense and prissy for most of it. Epilogue was pure cheese.

I love Hallmark Christmas movies. They’re feel-good movies at their finest and they get me through the stress of the holiday season. They’re a little too cutesy, and cliché as all get out, but also so heartwarming and romantic – they’re my guilty little pleasure and I just can’t get enough of them.

A Groom For Christmas reads exactly like a Hallmark Christmas movie.

(Well maybe not exactly like a Hallmark Christmas movie, but if Hallmark movies were x-rated, then it would be exactly like a

This was a really good book. I loved the characters, Graceann and Jake, especially Graceann's Grandmom and her sister Lorrie. This book is super festive with lots of Christmas references so it has officially put me in a Christmas mood. :)

This is the story of Graceann and Jake. Jake is a bad boy who has riden back into his hometown on a motorcycle. He has long hair and wears leather. He is also from the wrong side of the tracks. Graceann is a jewelry designer who is tired of

Graceann needs a fake fiancé ASAP. She had a friend lined up but he went away with his girlfriend. When she comes across Jake in the local diner. Jake has bad boy looks and was a bad boy in school.

Graceann remembers Jake from school he was from the bad side of town. She propositions him to be her fake fiancé and she will pay him.

When he agrees to help her out little does she know that she will grow to like everything about him? He is sweet and nice to her entire family.

I really enjoyed this book! A Groom for Christmas is what you expect it to be, but that's what I thought was great about it! It's a fun Christmas holiday romance reminiscent of Hallmark romance movies except in book form. It was a perfect fun read! I liked the romance between Graceann and Jake - it was sweet and sexy all at once. It was a very quick read too - I couldn't put it down. I read it in a few days (fun escape!) in between writing and taking care of baby twins (and that's an impressive ...more

This is my first book but Cara Marsi and I love Christmas romance so I was optimistic for this book. She didn’t disappoint me. The book was just what I like to read in Christmas stories; love, romance, Christmas scenes and great characters. All of these were present in this book. The author did a great good in detailing the characters and the snow scenes were very descriptive so that you felt like you were right then in the story.

This book was about a young woman who’s meddling mother wants her

Even though I found Graceann's reasons to hire a fake fiancé a little shallow I really enjoyed this story. I found it sort of sweet and loving. It was a great Christmas romance and the epilogue was amazing!

Fun read

Not your typical down on your luck read! Great/fun storyline. Understood Graceanne's fascination with "the bad boy". Loved the storyline and look forward to reading another book by this author!

Graceann needs a fiancé to take home for Christmas, so her mother will quit trying to set her up. She runs into Jake, a bad boy from her school days, and impulsively asks him to be her pretend fiancé. Of course, things don’t work out exactly the way they plan, and the lies are found out, hurting everyone. I really liked these two, and their story was a good Christmas read.

In a bind and need a fiancé for the holidays? Hmmm… sounds like a wicked good time just waiting to happen. But what this turned out to be was a sweet and romantic story about overcoming the past and finding your way into the future, with a sweet little twist of needing a date for the holidays.

If it’s true that there’s no place like home for the holidays, then Spirit Lake is the kind of place I want to find myself in come Christmas! The serene beauty of this town combined with the charm and grace

A christmas that Graceann will never forget but better yet the best proposition she ever did.

Graceann Palmer is a successful jewelry maker but she has had a hard love life. The person that she was going to marry lied to her but in the most horrible way. Okay this Michael jerk was not only a liar but also a person that was common law married with kids. What kind of a man does that to a woman believing that he could mold her to what he wanted? She knew that her mother was probably going to set her

He was two grades ahead of her and from the other side of the tracks. Parents were alcoholics and no childhood to speak of. She was the shy girl that was picked on and he was the one that rescued her, on that day that she fell in love with him, from the bitchy girls.
He fell in love that day too but neither knew it. He knew he could never have her but it didn’t stop him from dreaming. He would ride past her house a lot to just sit and stare and dream what life could be like in that big mansion

I was provided an eARC copy of this book by the publisher. Here is my honest review.

I always enjoy reading a romance set during the Christmas holidays. I also always enjoy stories that involve marriages (or engagements) of convenience. Marsi combines both of these elements into a sweet and enjoyable story. This is definitely what I consider to be a formulaic romance. The heroine Graceann is sweet and likeable. Jake is the perfect romance hero: good-looking and confident. I also enjoyed the sense

1. The story is a classic holiday, rom-com set-up.

The whole story reminds me a little bit of a Bing Crosby movie which really works with a Christmas theme. The set-up of a woman who needs a fake fiancée could fall so flat, but Marsi does a really good job of creating a situation that provides both a reason and a purpose. I like this premise in a Christmas narrative because the holiday setting creates a realistic family and social pressure cooker that makes the quickie romance completely

After lying to her family about having a fiancé, Graceann Palmer must produce one or be on the receiving end of her family’s pity and her mother’s machinations. When town bad boy, Jake Falco, swaggers back in to town, Graceann sees her opportunity. If she can convince Jake to go along with her scheme, not only will she have a fiancé—albeit a pretend one—but she will now have a chance to get to know better her devilishly handsome high school crush.

As Graceann approaches Jake with her proposal,

A Groom for Christmas is a sweet and funny quick read that is enjoyable for any time of the year especially during the holidays. I love these types of novel because they always make you feel good while your reading them and bring in those holiday romances. I know call me hopeless romantic. When Graceann told her family she was engaged and at the last minute her best friend pulled out what is a girl supposed to do? Find the Hot bad boy Jake from High school that has grown up and all of a sudden ...more

This novella was just the perfect Christmas story. I loved how the secrets of these two unfolded throughout the book. Almost like it was the peeling back of several layers. So Graceann Palmer has not had the best luck with men. Her fiance was found cheating on her, and now her best guy friend who has backed out of being her fake fiance for the Christmas holidays with her family. Graceann just wants her mother to stop trying to hook her up with ‘worthy’ guys. So when Jake “The Falcon” Falco walks

This is a story of old friendships, an interfering mum and a bad boy and an ex! The story starts when Graceann needs to find a fiancé for a Christmas holiday at home with her family, in-order to stop her mother matchmaking. While having something to eat in a local diner an old acquaintance (Jake) walks in and Graceann and her friend both decide that he can be the pretend fiancé if he agrees, and he does, as he wanted to get to know Graceann when they were younger but did not think he had a ...more

I loved this book. Graceann will do anything to get her mother off her back and allow her too live her own life. Since her engagement ended in disaster when she found out her fiance was with multiple other women and even had a common law marriage wife with two kids Graceann's mother has been on a mission to marry her off and she has been thrusting less than desirable men at her daughter. So Graceann concocts a Fake engagement

I really enjoyed this book! I was drawn to this book because I have read several other books by Cara Marsi and I have enjoyed them all. The writing flows smoothly and is easy to read.

In this book Graceann Palmer has decided that the only way to prevent her mother from trying to set her up with yet another man she has no interest in is to come home for the holidays with a fiancée in tow. When her friend who was to play the role is unable to go she recruits former town bad boy Jake “the Falcon”

Graceann had to come up with a fake fiancee within the next two days before she shows up at ther grandmom's house for the holidays. Being in a desperate situation, she approaches Jake Falcon, a guy with a bad boy image she had when she was in high school. She was willing to pay top dollars for the favor. After explaining to Jake her situation he accepts to be her fake fiancee for the Christmas holiday, but little did she knew that her life would never be the same after she

this is a fun book. I love how Jake changes his views on the town due to Graceann who he loves and I think has since high school.

Graceann needs a finace and fast and there is Jake at the diner. Thinking he needs the money, graceann asks him to help. She here jumps to the conclusion Jake is like he was when she knew him not thinking he may change and is what Jake feels the town is at first judegmental. But as they begin this farce, they begin to learn who each other is. Jake sees what family,
