Rate this book
These stories travel through the male life cycle, from boyhood to old age, giving glimpses of men caught in edgy dilemmas with their families and friends, with the women they love, and with their own consciences. The men in them could be anyone you know: ordinary guys who want to be heroes, extraordinary guys struggling to make it through the tangles of daily life.

Wow - this book was written in 1995 and I just read it in 2026. It had been sitting on my shelves for many years and I finally decided to delve into it.
Then after reading (I always read the reviews AFTER I read the book) I found there NO reviews of the book on this site in 31 years! Just a few number reviews which didn't help at all.

Well, let me just say: It was an interesting collections of short stories all related to men (hence, the title). Each story was written in a different year in the life of a man.

The endings all left you hanging a bit - but for some, you could sort of realize what happened next. It was odd. Some made you "think."

I liked that I could read one of the stories and put the book down to be picked up later. That's about all I can say.
