Very thorough history, not just of the book but of Scofield himself and of the overall development of dispensationalism as a theology, both in the US and Britain.

The bibliography is also full of interesting rabbit trails and additional resources to explore.

Also includes some interesting charts and tables (what would a book about dispensationalism be without dispensational style charts? Very meta-).

I skipped first couple chapters about the life of scofield but the rest of the book on the scofield reference bible was very good my main problem was that reading this book caused my kindle to restart 10-15 Times I don't know why and no other book has done that
