This series just keeps getting better. I have been waiting for Sam's story since the first book. He is still trying to recover from the torture he was subjected to while a prisoner in Afghanistan. His blackouts and memory loss scare him because of the things he sees in his nightmares. Just as he feels he is starting to make some progress, the therapist he has been working with is brutally murdered. Then he discovers that the doctor had asked his private investigator sister to keep an eye on Sam, ...more

This book was incredible! I was sucked in right from the beginning and the book heald me captive. I read this in one sitting, unable to put it down until I had read the very last page. Even then I wanted to keep holding on to it.

I simply wasn't ready for Sam and Olivia's story to be over. This book will have you on the edge of your seat guessing until the very end.

This is the third book in The Adair Legacy series!
Romantic Suspense is my Very favorite genre and a captured military soldier, who endured months of torture and is now trying to claw his way out of the Darkness, while utilizing the skills of one sexy woman - Well that is just my ideal Hero and storyline! I absolutely LOVED this book!
How captivating is this:
"You have no idea what you're getting into. I can use just about any weapon to kill--silently with a knife, with a gun from a distance, and

Special Ops Rendezvous is by Karen Anders. It is the third book in the Adair Legacy series.
Sam Winston just wants to get himself back on track and back into service with the Rangers. He has no idea what happened to him when he was captured and tortured. Was he brainwashed and/or programmed during those three months in captivity? He is seeing Dr. Owens, a psychologist, and Sam seems to be having some results when Dr. Owens is brutally murdered and Sam finds him when he arrives for an early morni

I love this series! This book is the 3rd book in the Adair Legacy series. I have enjoyed the characters in each of the books.

This book gave a more in-depth description of what it is like for a person going through PTSD than any other book I have ever read. The hero in this book Sam served his country. During that time he was captured, and tortured. His night mares wakes him up at night.

I love the relationship between Sam, and Olivia. They have a steamy, fun relationship. They love to argue, but

Loved this book! May have to read it again.
The DEEPLY flawed hero and a no nonsense heroine were perfect for each other. Slowly but surely the heroine became the catalyst to saving the day. The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
Good job Ms. Anders!

I liked the previous book better. I loved this story line though. I enjoyed learning with the character Sam and figuring out what happened to him. There is only 1 thing that kept me from giving this a higher review. The story line compared to the sex scenes. It was too much. It started to feel like half the book was in the bedroom. I like a little more storyline to my romances. I'm not in it for the sex. I like a good, active, suspenseful story with a strong chemistry between the 2 main character ...more

I will be the first to admit that Harlequin hasn’t always been on my list of favorite publishers. Mind you, I am forty years old and can still remember the totally cheesy covers and lame titles from waaaay back in the day. Add to that hearing my grandmother and the rest of the blue hair crew taking about the naughty bits and plots that revolved around the naughty bits and well, you get the idea. There hasn’t always been a lot to recommend Harlequin to me as an adult

I have always wanted to do this!

The Adair-Winston Family

Yes, make a family tree! And since neither of the ‘Adair’ series has one, I felt compelled to create one. Do let me know how it is, and whether it needs improvement (after reading all the books, of course)!

The reading order of the series is as follows:

“The Adair Legacy” (published 2014)

Her Secret, His Duty by Carla Cassidy
Executive Protection by Jennifer Morey
Special Ops Rendezvous by Karen Anders
Trying to wrap my head around how so many people can give this book a 5-star rating...

[spoilers may await... you've been warned]

Just going to start by saying I have nothing against fiesty, strong willed heroines. I DO, however, have issues when these heroines do things for the most stupidly illogical reasons. Does the author SERIOUSLY believe that the reader is going to buy that a 5 foot nothing, maybe 100 lbs soaking wet woman is going to be able to protect a special forces trained soldier? And

Third of The Adair Legacy series, this is the one I've been waiting for.

Wounded Warrior Sam must find the answers to troubling questions and situations not only for his own peace of mind--and perhaps control of his mind--but to help figure out who's trying to kill his mother, a candidate for the presidency of the US!

This book was nothing like what I expected. But it was still one helluva read.

So many authors gloss over the severe symptoms of PTSD but Karen Anders took those symptoms and worked t

"Sam is empathetic, as a physically and emotionally scarred soldier, and his story draws the reader in. Add to that a complex plot and explosive chemistry, and this story becomes one entertaining read (RT Book Reviews)". 4 stars
