For Olivia Bentley, Lucky Harbor is more than the town where she runs her new vintage shop. It's the place where folks are friendly to strangers-and nobody knows her real name. Olivia does a good job of keeping her past buried, not getting too cozy with anyone . . . until she sees a man drowning. Suddenly she's rushing into the surf, getting up close and personal with the ...more

5 'need me a Captain Hottie' stars!

He's So Fine is the 11th book in Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series, and it might just be my favorite, yet! With Olivia's guarded approach to life and Cole's quick, charming and oh-so-sexy sexy wit, they balance each other perfectly and make this a feel good story that kept me reading and smiling well into the night!

Quick summary
Cole Donovan is a dream and everyone seems to adore him. He's a good friend and is the consummate handyman, always equipped with whatever tools needed to fix something on the spot. But, he's just running in place after having been dumped by his girlfriend two years ago. That is until Olivia Bentley comes to his rescue, even though he didn't believe he needed saving.

I seriously feel like a broken record every single time I read a Jill Shalvis book and then try to write a review. All I ever say is how she always writes a perfectly swoony romance and makes me forget all the things that are stressing me out by transporting me to the magical land of Lucky Harbor. I can’t say I’m sorry because it’s the absolute truth. I know exactly what I’ll get when I pick up one of her books and she’s never let me down.

She has created this amazing harbor town that I can viv

Nothing to report, I read this in one sitting, loved it, a real "feel good book".

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Armed with a new name former child star Olivia moved to Lucky Harbor with the dual purpose of losing and finding herself. Growing up in Hollywood with all the positives and negatives that comes with that, has lead her to become a very guarded and weary individual. The eleventh addition to the popular Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis. Cole Donovan was working on the boat when he falls in the water and is "rescued" by Olivia Bentley, who just happens to be out walking at 5:30am. Okay, so she didn't really save him and in fact needed saving herself. So Cole gets her on the boat and warms her up. Cole always has tools and duck tape at hand to fix those things that need fixing. But he can't seems to fix himself. He is attracted to Olivia but he has issues f ...more

Another good one.

The Gist: You see a guy working on a boat get a little shock and fall in the water? Well you take off running and dive in to rescue his ass. Even if, erm, you kinda land on him and he winds up rescuing you instead. Yep. Blunder!

I liked both the hero and heroine. Liked their romance. Their struggles and how they met. They were good for each other and definitely had me going aw multiple times.

He’s So Fine is a classic Lucky Harbor story with an alpha hero who’s fun and sexy and quirky heroine to match him.

Olivia is a former child star, but she changed her name and life (basically lying to everyone) about who she is to live in quiet Lucky Harbor. I have to say, I really disliked her lies from the start. I understood them, and was even ok with it but when she kept saying “I should really tell him [Cole] the truth” or “I need to co

This was definitely a 5-star read until the very end, which felt too rushed. I wonder what makes Jill Shalvis write epilogues for some books, but not others. This one need an epilogue in my opinion. I really enjoyed Cole and Olivia as characters and together. I just wish the end was more fulfilling. I also felt like there should have been more closure for Olivia and her family, her mother especially. What happened to them? How did she come to terms with that issue for herself?

Looking forward to

The story of Olivia and Cole, who meet when Olivia "rescues" Cole when he has an accident and falls into the water. She can barely swim, so Cole ends up saving them both, and then the two of them get close and personal, trying to warm up and avoid hypothermia.

The attraction between them is obvious, but they both have their issues and are resistant to the relationship that inevitably develops between them.

Cole is still trying to get over (view spoiler)

Lucky Harbor will always be my favorite place for beautiful and feel good love stories. Perfect for me, as predicted.
Oh man, I think I'm going against the grain by not giving this five stars. At least for the Advanced Readers. But I can say that regular readers of Jill Shalvis will like this book.
When the story opens, Cole Donovan is working on one of his company's boats. He gets distracted and slightly electrocuted and ends up in the water. That's when Olivia sees him, assumes he's drowning and jumps in to save him.
She's in town to disappear. See, Olivia Bentley isn't the name she was born with. Or even the

I said it for book #10, and I'll say it again. I love Lucky Harbor, and Shalvis writes the best alpha men ever.

He's So Fine tells the story of Olivia (not her real name, but hopefully no one finds out) and Cole (like McGuyver, but more sensitive and nosy and muscly and alpha).

They don't mean to hit it off, but the electricity between them is just too much to resist. When they finally knock down some emotional walls, they might even start a real relationship... If it weren't for Cole's inabilit

The opening scene of this book was fun, a kind of meet cute/hilarious/stupid. I did think Olivia was a bit better in this book. She made a bad first impression in the last one for me and I still had that in my mind, how rude she was to Becca. Just the attitude reminded me of Aubrey from Once in a Lifetime. Additionally, this book had the whole secret/lying device again like that book as well. No surprise, I still didn't care for it. I also couldn't believe how long it took for that to come to li ...more

Second reading: So here's the thing: Jill Shalvis and her 12 funny, sexy, steamy Lucky Harbor series has kept me sane in an insane time. As we "shelter in place" during this worldwide pandemic, it's been so nice to escape to a place with lots of hunky men, snarky conversation, and a wealth of HEAs! Thank you, Jill Shalvis!!!!

Totally trashy, way more steamy than I usually read, fun brain candy. I’m on a kind of challenging business trip and these silly, sexy, totally unrealistic love stories are
I just loved this one! I loved the whole relationship between Cole and Olivia. I loved the fact that they were two strong people who came together. It was so much fun. And as usual, the people of Lucky Harbor are just too good, especially Lucille. I just ADORE HER!!!

(Feb) The Lucky Harbor series has been hit and miss with me throughout the 11 books I’ve read (one more to go!). I find it odd that no one in LH seems to notice that every few years in high school 3 guys are BFFs and gorgeous – and then they grow up and one by one they fall for 3 girls who are all BFFs (even if they did not start out that way). I have found most of the series interchangeable – most of the Heros are hunky and slightly damaged and sigh-worthy. The heroines are so-so, some good, a ...more

In what has to be one of Jill Shalvis' funniest openings yet, Olivia Bentley and Cole Donovan first meet in the water, by way of drowning. Lucky Harbor is a coastal town, and Cole and his two friends, Sam and Tanner, spend most of their days on their boat as part of their charter business. When Olivia sees Cole fall into the water, she immediately jumps in to help, except that the wat

I’ve been a big fan of Jill Shalvis for a long time and I don’t know what’s been inspiring her lately but her last few releases have been some of her best work and He’s So Fine is included in that bunch. Another fun and emotional trip to Lucky Harbor. Olivia is relatively new to Lucky Harbor, where she came to escape from her past. She runs her vintage shop and pretty much keeps to herself, though I'm not quite sure how she's managed to avoid the small town nosiness for so long. She's been pretty successful until she's out walking on the pier one morning and sees a man fall into the freezing water of the harbor. She immediately jumps in to try to save him.

First of all, Cole can't believe that he

He's So Fine is the eleventh book in the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis.

I love Jill Shalvis and I love this series. Every time I pick one of these books I know I will be transported to Lucky Harbor to visit some of my favorite characters ever. Characters that after eleven books feel almost like family. That was the case with previous books and that was the case (I was hoping to experience) with this book. The only problem was He's So Fine didn

Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor is such a familiar territory for me. Sure, it might not stray from the usual recipe: light banters, humor, chemistry, sexy sex scenes ... with appearance from fussy-geriatric-gang-led-by-Lucille; but I don't care. It is what make it such a cozy comfort read, being predictable like that. It's what I need from small town romance and it being part of the last trilogy in this series, I just swallow it happily.

I did like He's So Fine slightly less than Becca and Sam's b

The more I read from this author the more I love her books. I find that I can't read enough of her books. As soon as I finished this book I immediately wanted another one to read. Former child star Olivia just wanted a place to be, where the people who relied on her, then dropped her when she stopped acting, don’t have any expectations, or control, over her life. She’s got a good friend and a successful little vintage shop, her life in Lucky Harbor is happy and she’s able to remove herself from the difficult relationship with her mother and sister. Secrets, of which Olivia has many, are closely held, and while Olivia has no re
