John Stewart Bowman was an American author and librettist. He received a B.A. in English literature from Harvard University and attended Trinity College, Cambridge University, and the University of Munich. Bowman worked as an editor for more than 40 years and as a freelance writer for almost as long.

REALLY????? Lord Elgin SHIPS??? Why not to write the proper verb: steal-stole-stolen.
"Elgin Marbels" are stolen propety and should be returned to Greece. Not to Postcolonial British Museum of Stolen Goods from around the world.

I want photos!

Lists. Just lists. Seemingly arbitrary hotel and restaurant selections. About as useful as trip advisor. Obsolete upon publishing due to volatility of pricing of said hotels and restaurants.

Great resource for traveling. While a lot of information can be found online, I found it to be a great tool in understanding the history and culture of the islands
