Great book with very good insights. I liked the 90 seconds summaries at the end of every chapter, that has helped me to get to the key points and actually note them. There are quite a few good points. The best one for me was the realization that I am 100% responsible for my own communication. It's not somebody else not understanding me, it's about the way I communicate. Wow, great read. I found out that I naturally do a lot of things that help make a good first impression during new business encounters, but I also learned that there was a method to doing that which has helped me be more conscious, consistent, and systematic in taking the right approach to every new connection. I also learned quite a few new tricks, that have already proved useful and accurate.

Overall, not a bad book. Some of the chapters just dragged on though... could have used some of the advice of the '90 seconds or less' book itself... The first couple of chapters and the last 3-4 chapters are very good. A lot of it is stuff that are obvious or that you already know, but the book frames some of the tactics well. As a side - I didn't like the lay out of the book in some cases -- it would be discussing a topic, then have an 'aside' story which interleaves for two pages, at which po ...more

This book promotes constructive implementation of NLP, it is extremely well written, personable and the author communicates his secret formula's with supporting examples and exercises intended for the reader to easily practice new communication techniques. I am far more aware during conversations and put my best efforts in to begin open, engaging, curious and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn how to be an effective communicator.

Never really read this type of book before especially since i'm not in the marketing department or have my own business but this book really gives me some good advice overall how to present yourself, present your company or whatever it is that you stand-up for cause in the end your success also depends on it.

Un livre très intéressant , bien que je déteste les livres qui prétendent la délivrance des secrets ultimes , ce livre m'a attiré par sa structure , sa manière et les histoires dedans .
Sa lecture est bénéfique certes , surtout au niveau professionnel , je trouve que c'est important de lire un livre qui peut enrichir et organiser des compétences de communication.

I thought this book touched on a lot of techniques to help me sell more effectively as a salesman. It also has a lot of tools to help with communicating with all kinds of people by using simple body language secrets from making eye contact to remembering someone's name. This is a book that you can go back and forth to for pointers.

Nicholas Boothman is a genius when it comes to connecting. Some great, not-so-obvious points in this book that will help you make a fantastic first impression, and then take that first impression and turn it into a solid business relationship. Highly recommended.

Probably more like 3.5 stars. Short read on creating connections with people. A lot of the info was basic but great refresher and inspiration to get better at communicating with others. Some really good nuggets hidden throughout.

Incredible book. I recommend to everyone that wants to improve yourself. There are lots of advices about behavioring in certain kinds of situations, and other stuffs. I will read this book many times again for sure.

easy read with a lot of tips on how to connect with business contacts faster and more deeply. good reinforcement of the things i already knew, and quick ideas for better presentations, networking, meetings, etc.

Good Book. Its effective,tries to bring progress in everyone's life. Many different techniques taught. All is known, but last part is more descriptive. Recommended for teenagers. Thanks for such a wonderful book.

Meio obvio demais, tem algumas dicas interessantes, mas a narrativa é cansativa, tive problemas para terminar, quase desisti mais de uma vez, e os exercicios propostos na sua maioria são idiotas.
