Chalice is back, and she’s accomplished what women all over the world have always dreamed of: she’s gotten younger. The Back Stories feature NYPD Detective Stephanie Chalice in the days before you first met her. She’s righteous, rambunctious, and oh so ready . . . for anything.

A woman is dead, a suspect is in custody, and the case seems ironclad, but all is not as it appears. Chalice soon finds herself embroiled in a deadly game of fraud, conspiracy, and deception. The body count is about to rise and the only thing standing between the murderer and his next victim is a headstrong rookie detective with a sixth sense for solving crime.

Perfect book for Sunday afternoon.

Glad I found another author, looks like Chalice strong NYPD detective with sixth sense. Multiple personality defense made me laugh, interesting. Looking forward to read more about Chalice.

I absolutely loved it!!!

When I first started it I didn't think I was going to like it but as I continued to read the more I became hooked. It turned out to be really good and full of suspense. The ending was a real shock and a big surprise. I simply loved it. Will definitely read more of Kelters Chalice books. Kudos to Kelter

I love the Stephanie Chalice stories and especially enjoyed this new book. This book appears out of order in that it precedes the original first book in the series. Although somewhat short, it was great to see how Stephanie began in the detective's division and dealing with her 'First Kill.'

Interesting and confusing. But it all worked out on the end. Think I'll read the next two backstory books then start the series.

I liked the characters and story line. I think that I'd like to see more of them in addition books in the series. Kudos.
