NOTHING SO APPALLING IN THE ANNALS OF HORROR!

SEE: Beautiful virgins sacrificed to a non-human creature!

More grisly than ever in BLOOD COLOUR!

Tired of formulaic Hollywood blockbusters? This is the book for you. Midnight Movie Madness will introduce you to all the "weird" films you never knew existed, from Filipino monster flicks and backyard sci-fi 'epics' to space gorillas in diving helmets and cheesy Italian knock-offs. You'll get a glimpse of the egos, conflicts and eccentric personalities behind each production as the author struggles to answer the age-old question: "What WERE they thinking?!"

Fun

Entertaining analysis of films many of us have seen. Often looked at from a different perspective with a quirky sense of humour.

This was a largely enjoyable book but did fall foul of repeating a couple of reviews. An eye opener to the world of "adult" movies.

Not a bad survey, but few true "midnight movies" here; mostly just clunkers and big studio flicks that failed. There is a lot of gods info on them nevertheless, so it's not a bad read for a moviehound. The e-book formatting left a bit to be desired, but it was pretty readable. It you like mediocre 80s-90s horror and action flicks, you'll probably like this; if you prefer your journeys into schadenfraude more classic, perhaps not so much.

Well worth the low asking price for the e-book on Amazon. While some old favorites are reviewed (as to be expected), there were lots of films I had not heard of and welcomed the information. Opinionated, and breezy ... a quick fun read for anyone who enjoys "bad" movies.

This is the umpteenth book I've read about midnight movies. It's well researched but it's been written before. The ebook comes with a bonus book 'Man Walks Into A Multiplex' where the author writes about terrible movies he seems to hate. It's depressing.
