I was first introduced to Captain Heinz Noonan in a short story I read on Readers and Writers Book Club website named ‘The Matter of the Bilateral Kidnapping’ written by Steve Levi, Master of Impossible Crimes. I discovered this main character is quite the curmudgeon. He is grumpy with just about everyone; however he cannot help being intrigued by difficult cases. The author creates an impressive quest in the mind of the reader to unravel the shocking mystery behind the vanishing act of a Greyhound bus- part of a 10 million dollar heist.
