It should’ve been called, if you were a goldfish.

This is a first facts book. I thought it would be similar to a first reader but it isn't. It is for an older child to read or for an adult to read to a younger child (mine is 3 yrs old). The facts were surprising and we all learned something new. It detailed the lifecycle of the goldfish, their enemies, how they breathe, about their scales etc. I didn't know goldfish hibernate. A nice book, a little old (1989) but we will look for others in this series.

This is a great book about the life cycle and the characteristics of a goldfish. The book explains the uses of the fish's scales and gills, and even highlights the goldfish's predators. Towards the end of the book, they point out that you can have a goldfish as a pet, and they list step-by-step instructions on what to do to care for your goldfish.
