„Wie ein Sturm über dem Meer“ von Nora Roberts ist ein Sammelband mit allen 4 Büchern zu dem MacKade-Brüdern.
📖In Band 1 lernen wir Rafe, den Badboy unter den Brüdern kennen, der sich fernab der MacKade Farm durchschlägt und schließlich doch zurück nach Antietam findet und dort auf die fleißige Regan trifft – Eine wie ich finde schöne Geschichte, die gezeigt hat, dass jede harte Schale auch einen weichen Kern hat💞
📖Band 2 dreht sich um den Anwalt Jared und die Künstlerin Savannah, die wie ich finde auch auf besondere Weise zu einer kleinen Familie werden. Savannah ist eine Frau der klaren Worte, trotz aller Selbstzweifel und diese Ehrlichkeit empfand ich beim Lesen als wirklich toll und machte die Geschichte der beiden für mich sehr greifbar!💖
📖In Band 3 wird es mitunter sehr actionreich, denn Devon ist der Sheriff von Antietam und seine wohl größte Aufgabe besteht darin Cassie und ihre Kinder zu beschützen... eine ganz besonders emotionale Geschichte, denn Cassie ist eine Frau, die schon unglaublich viel durchgemacht hat und wie sich das alles auf ihr Leben und das ihrer Kinder ausgewirkt hat, und welche Rolle letztlich Devon einnimmt, hat mich einfach sehr berührt!💖
📖Und zu guter Letzt lernen wir den Aufreißer Shane kennen, der das Leben und arbeiten auf der Farm liebt und kaum anderes als stramme Frauenschenkel im Sinn hat... Er trifft auf Rebecca... eine scheue Wissenschaftlerin und Psychologin, die ich leider nicht in mein Herz schließen konnte... diese Liebesgeschichte empfand ich als ein bisschen zu weit hergeholt und die Charaktere waren für mich wenig greifbar- leider.
✒Insgesamt zieht sich aber auch eine unheimlich tolle Familiendynamik durch alle Bände, was mich sehr begeistert hat! Ebenso der mystische Aspekt eines Anwesens in Antietam, was alle vier Geschichten begleitet und ein Teil derer ist war sehr interessant, ein bisschen magisch, tragisch und mystisch- ein für mich persönlich gelungener Zusatz zum Ganzen! 💞📖

I WAS CAUGHT UP WITH THE FOUR BOOKS...
I was thoroughly intrigued with these stories. They managed to keep my interest from beginning to end. I shed tears as if I knew them personally. I recommend this bundle of stories. They resonated with a realism that I responded to. I was very moved, and I am sure most people would also feel that way too.

Years maybe whole lives have gone by and share it Mckade bides his time. He loves Kasi and even her children,. Kasi comes to him is he’s sharing she doesn’t realize she loves him. They finally here share a heated case where will he go from here. Devon finally gets Joe behind bars. He escapes scratches Dead in his temple with a bullet drags Kasi in the woods Connor stand brave and top and tries to beat the man dead and comes back around from unconsciousness takes his brothers goes into the woods to get his girl in the process he not only got his girl but he got his family as well. I wonderful story of tryin tenderness patience and all things good.

The simple, charming, Shane Mckade, is shanghaied into picking up Reagan‘s college friend. The picture in chains had shapeless closing nerdy glasses, doesn’t fit Rebecca Knight Completely baffled Dr. night he puts on cocky person, she even got a bed when she gets her brain working again, after Shane looks scrambled. Well Shane and Rebecca figure out there’s a connection, love, family,

You Gotta LOVE the MacKades
This was a great set, making it easy to binge the MacKades, and binge I did. I read this set in 2 days, and hated any interruption, because I was deep into the MacKades. Once I started, how could I stop? I hated that I had to sleep once in a while, which required putting down my Kindle. It was rough!
This 4 book set is about 4 brothers, and each one stars in his own book. These are 4 really good looking guys, and they are so well described that you can actually picture them in your mind. Every character is so well written, fleshed out and described, that you can see each of them. The interconnected stories that flow through each book, are so well written that you’re sucked in, immediately, and don’t come up for air until you finish the last book. It was great!
I really enjoyed this box set. I would highly recommend reading this set, but I would make sure that you have a decent amount of time set aside, because this will take over your life until you’re finished. It’s a great set, and I hope you try it and love it as much as I do!

Four stories in one book about the four brothers McKade (who of course are all sexy, good looking, and a bit rough around the edges), who live in or around Antietam, a place heavy with Civil War history, finding their destiny.
The first, Rafe and Regan, I thought was the best of them, followed by the story between Jared and Savannah. The other two, Devin and Cassie, and Shane and Rachel, were a bit pale in comparison; I found especially Devin and Cassie surprisingly weak characters, and that despite of the story of abuse and salvation, and Shane and Rebecca were just too - I don't know - stereotypical and just a bit silly.
To be fair, that may have been the German translation and not the story as such; even in the first two books I found passages that did not "sound" like Nora Roberts at all and were dripping with sweetness.

Dazzling
If you're a romantic fool, as I am, you will love this series. The McKade brothers are priceless hunks of manhood waiting for you to fall in love with them. The back story of the civil war flashbacks and the story of two young boys who met, fought, and died at the famous battle of Antietam give the stories a sadness, a thrill, and a chill from the ghosts who haunt the homes and surrounding area. I read this series long ago but enjoyed it all over again just as much. I read it in about three days. I love Nora Roberts and her passion. Enjoy! I would have done 10 stars.

I knew that Nora Roberts wrote powerful books, but this collection just bowled me over. Four brothers and the women who captured their hearts, entwined with the legend of ghosts that couldn’t rest. The Civil War, and the battle of Antietam, MD, one of the bloodiest battles of the war. In each book a brother and his mate forge a connection to each other, a place, and the restless souls trying to find peace.
I enjoyed this collection and would recommend it to everyone.

An enjoyable light read. Easy to follow, fun and creative. Nora Roberts' books always seem very entertaining. I liked this series simply because it carried the same characters from start to finish and kept the reader involved in each character throughout the series. This series involves an entire family of 4 brothers and the civil war history involved in their locale. She nicely brings in the supernatural aspect of the history without going over the top. I genuinely enjoyed it.

Livre romance intéressant malgré la ressemblance entre les quatre tomes, ce qui ne gêne pas . J'ai bien aimé avoir la possibilité de retrouver les différents personnages dans les histoires des quatre frères. De plus, les livres parlent aussi de fait contemporain comme les violences conjugales par exemple. La romance mêlée avec un peu d'étrangeté (les fantômes et hallucinations) et l'écriture m'ont vraiment emporté dans l'histoire de ces quatre frères et de leur compagnes.

My second book from Nora Roberts which has followed the same themes of: strong, independent female protagonist; rugged and handsome bad-boy; small-town rural setting; house renovation theme.

When I finish reading a Nora Roberts book I feel satisfied and lost at the same time. Wanting more.
Her ability to create male characters that are so wonderful leaves me speechless. Her female characters are just as rich and engaging.
Her banter of dialogue is inspired. A pure joy to be part of her gift. As long as she writes: I shall read.

I really enjoyed reading all four of More's MacKade book series. The stories intrigued me with the characters with the paranormal always having a part in bringing love and family together. I found them an easy read. I recommend them especially between two thrillers.

A powerful book
What a fantastic job the author did with this final book of the series. She neatly closed the series. Don't get wrong it as great all the way through, but I didn't want it to end. I will probably read this series again and make sure I let people know how they need to read it.

Loved the story of all four brothers. Can't wait to read the next series she writes. She has a way with making each story unique and exciting with new and interesting character and the sex is always awesome.

Ik heb de 4 boeken binnen een week gelezen. Ze lezen erg snel weg, zijn behoorlijk voorspelbaar maar wel oké om te lezen op een warme zomeravond. Leuke persoonsbeschrijving zodat je ze duidelijk voor ze ziet.

Ah, the '90's, nice, rather predictable romance. I like the family sticking together. I liked that she addressed abuse-how hard it can be to get away and the importance of friends. I liked the way they looked more than surface deep.

I chose thos rating as ive read these books countless times since they came out and still love them the characters are amazing with depth and feelings. Just love these books wonder if there will be more with the next generation as i feel there should be
