The Tarot illuminati deck is the card stock used in this book by Huggins. Each Trump is presented with a "what if the card could speak" text, a description or "illumination" of the card, meaning or "revelation" and keywords, from a mainly astrological interpretation style. Around 5 pages for each trump. The minor arcana are are similarly covered albeit with 3-4 pages instead. The court cards are introduced from an interpretation style that centers on using the elements and astrology only. Oh as a side note the pages are princesses in this deck, so the interpretation of these cards reflect that. In the end of the book Huggins presents very briefly 4 different card spreads; Sun/Moon/Star, Lighting the Lantern, Planetary Spread and Rising Sun spread. To be fair I think Huggins shows a good understanding of astrology and how that may be reflected in a RWS based deck, such as the Tarot Illuminati. Unfortunately this is also the weakness of this book. I did not resonate with the interpretations given, I had a hard time recognizing the keywords for each card. Personally I find image symbolism especially the Christian influence, suits and numerology as being the most important influences on individual card interpretations. Another weakness is the fact that an image of the cards themselves are not presented with each chapter, so the reader needs to have one at hand, when reading the book. I do not think this book can be used with any RWS based system rather it seems to be specifically written for the Tarot Illuminati deck. I therefore recommend this book for a beginner/medium reader of this specific deck.

This is my favorite book on the tarot and its a guide to my favorite deck. The author gives amazingly detailed descriptions and deeply explores the meaning of the symbolism in each card. If you are at all interested in the Tarot, I cannot give this book and deck enough stars!!!

One of the best guidebooks I've read. Even if you don't own this deck, I would recommend adding it to you tarot library.

These was a great book and a better insight on the Tarot Illuminati and the Tarot in general whether you are new to Tarot or a Lifetime student. I would have given this book 5* if it had pictures to go along with the descriptions as it was a pain to look though the deck for each card mention.

This has to be one of my all time favourite Tarot books! It is such a well written in depth look at the deck, and is useful in building general tarot knowledge. love it.
