This is a fun book for kids. My 7 year old was attracted to the book because she "wants to try to beat one of the world records" inside the book. It contains LOTS of information, but the nice thing is that it is writen in little blurbs. So although the book is really written at more of a middle school level, a smaller child could at least read bits and pieces of it. It covers achievements in topics as diverse as civilization, sports, and science, to name just a few. All the blurbs are accompanied by photos. I think even my special education students who cannot even read would like the book for the photos, while my most advanced readers would read the book for the achievements contained within. This would be a good middle school non fiction read.
