This book is pretty good for a first time mom, like myself. But it doesn't go too in depth on topics. However, I did find this more pleasurable to read since it had pictures of cute babies compared to a text only book. And I did like how they broke down what to expect month by month, and even had a chart of these things in the back for easy reference too.

I'd recommend this to others, but still suggest they read other baby care books in addition to this one. But this is a good book to start with.

I was so happy when I found this book for $1.00 at a Goodwill store! I always come back to this book every few months and read about the next steps my then baby- now toddler is taking. Love the layout, the information, and the practical guidance!
It even makes me want to have another baby :D
Really love the book!

This is an excellent book- especially for the first time mom. It goes through each month of a child's life from birth to 24 months and tells you everything you would need to know from what to feed them, how to dress them, and even medical issues. This is a great read for those interested in learning what parenting is all about- it's more than just hugs and cuddles... and this book can prepare you for it! It's also great for those with a child under 2 years old, you can flip to the chapter about your child's current age and then read the next chapter to see what's coming up. I highly recommend this book!

Had a lot of good information. Things I didn't know. Which is what I was hoping for when I got it from the library as I am expecting my first baby and feel woefully unprepared. It's more of a reference book then a sit down and read through book though. I didn't even finish the last few chapters as I really don't need or want information on older babies and 1 year old's yet. I am hoping to just get through the first few days and weeks :) I might have to get it again as a refresher though when the baby actually comes because I'm pretty sure I've already forgotten stuff and I only finished it a few months ago. I do have a lot on my mind though being pregnant and all.

A month by month guide of what you should know to care for your baby when you take it home. Lots of pictures. Not super informative.

A gift from my Mom and a good reference for new moms.
This book is more hands-on and usable with photos and sidebars on different topics. It covers topics from birth to two years old.
