If anybody has recommendations about being your own money manager, for people who are willing to work at it, please let me know.

I am about one third through this.

It is geared to people with an analytic mindset and who are willing to work in a focused manner on their finances the same way they would work on any other serious project in a responsible capacity - like at work.

Because it is a toolbox, not a recommendation on how to balance a portfolio, that may explain why a relatively mediocre star count from other reviewers.

If you want to get a handle on this stuff, sometimes you have to just "gut it out" and get it done.
