Exciting romantic comedy with intrigue, mystery and a twist in the tale, Hawaiian Escape is a humorous romance with a dash of drama - from the rolling Surrey hills to bustling New York, to an ancient ruin in Tuscany.
Feisty singleton and former international jet-setter Helen Parker’s life is in crisis, and so is her sister Sadie’s. Now Helen has to learn to manifest her own destiny instead of fixing everyone else’s. Rookie businesswoman Sadie Turner needs help – but is marketing whizz Damian Hugh her knight in shining armour or her nemesis? With time running out for Sadie, Helen faces the biggest choice of her life so far – to find an escape that could solve everything for one of them – or ruin it all for both. New man, new career, new era. But for whom? A nail-biting challenge in Tuscany and a dramatic trip to New York lead up to the journey of a lifetime. But there will be no going back once the winner is announced.
THE STORY CONTINUES – ‘Hawaiian Affair’ – Sadie’s story progresses when her career takes an unexpected turn and she has just 30 days to seal the deal of a lifetime. Published on Amazon Summer 2013.
DEBBIE FLINT’S second novel is the PREQUEL to Hawaiian Affair – also available on amazon. With a background in TV and Radio, Debbie has previously worked in the health food industry and in finance, but is back doing the ‘day job’ she loves – presenting on QVC UK – whilst writing romance for the thinking woman.
When you're 12 and your teacher says 'please finish your creative writing homework - I'm dying to find out what happens...' it makes you think about your future. So I promptly signed up to become... an accountant. Then a radio and TV presenter, now a QVC shopping channel presenter. But at least I get to do a weekly blog - on qvcuk.com - (12,000-17,000 views per week) - always longer than they should be, 'cos - of course - I'm supposed to be writing!
'Serial writing course attender', RNA New Writers' Scheme, and script-writer wannabe, I am loving having finally finished my first trilogy of steamy romantic novels ('Hawaiian Escape/Affair/Retreat'). Now available on paperback on amazon - PG available too if you don't want steamy version!
There's another book called 'Till the Fat Lady Slims' too - a semi autobiographical weight loss book which is being updated for September 2014. it helped me lose 35lb in the early 2000's so give it a go if you fancy. Actually, opt for eBook then you can always get a refund if it's not your cup of black tea!
Plus, there's a couple of short stories - with more on the way! From gentle Valentine's romances to a spooky supernatural one, and watch out for more this Hallowe'en!
Finally, there's always my only paid commission (so far) - good old 'Clive the Camel' - a very short kids' story, broadcast by Buena Vista (Disney) 'Rise and Shine' breakfast show from the early 90's. Considering the file was written about eight computers ago, finding it would be a tall order! One day... : - )
My next project will be based on 'how to find a husband' and it's going to be a script first - with a time-slip plot, partly current day, party 1930's.
Would love to connect with you and if you've read any of my titles so far, do let me know what you think! Twitter, facebook or via my website!
or email me debbie@debbieflint.com
Plus check out my author questions section on here, and my blog, updated regularly (on top of the three I write on my own website and for QVC each week! lol)
After falling in love with Sadie & mac from Hawaiian Affair, I was so excited to see there was a prequel to this book. The author Debbie Flint has delivered another winner. I found the book to be very engaging and I enjoyed learning about the insight to Sadie's life, family and background. It has all I look for in a book. Story,Romance & Humour. Readers will not be disappointed. Please, please write more xx
The prequel to Hawaiian Affair. We find out how Sadie got to win the competition which took her to Hawaii. We also find out a lot more about Helen, Sadie's sister. I enjoyed this book, liked Debbie's humour, wasn't sure about the Damian character but was funny how Sadie dealt with him in the end. I am looking forward to more from Debbie.
