Sissy's Romance Book Review
Highland Honor by Angela Ashton is the story of Darius and Tegan.
A scheme has been set in motion for Tegan to pretend to be the future bride of a enemy clan to try to gain access to a relic. But the younger brother, Darius has his suspensions about what Tegan is all about.
This book I thought had everything you could want. It has some funny scene, hot man, a pretending heroine and some adventures thrown in. This is my first book by this author and now that I have found her I will be looking for

*I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinion stated are solely my own and no one elses*

This was a brilliant read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Darius and Regan had great chemistry - I loved the sizzling flames burning wildly between them. These two made me laugh and smile throughout the entire story.

The plot was intriguing, captivating and gripping.

This was a fantastic Scottish Highland romance and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. This book had everything you would want in a

Definitely a buy buy buy buy buy book!
A very wonderful read. A world of chaos, revenge, protection. It has the story line elements that are breathtaking. I could not of asked for a better read then to read one that captivates me and keeps me enchanted from the first page to the last. With characters that have such chemistry it sizzles off the page to the adventures and humor to the sibling love. Not to mention the clans and their rivalry and wars. Each and every part of this book was a wonderfu

Confusing, Tegan pretending to be a different person to wed Alick, but falls for Darius instead? Didn't hold my interest, unfortunately, a did not finish for me. Tegan spent most of the first quarter of the book talking to herself and plotting, couldn't move past that.

Received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

***Disclaimer: I was provided a copy in exchange for a review.***

The title has a dual meaning as both leads- Tegan and Darius- contend for the same prize: the Cross of St. Luke. Both believe it’s the key to restoring honor- both personally and to their clans. But Tegan’s ruse is far from perfect as she trips herself up in small ways (the chocolate scene was pretty good), making things difficult but not impossible and things get tense as she realizes Darius knows she’s a pretender. But why hasn’t

The author did a great job with adding some extra suspense into her stories by involving more than just a rival clan or love quarrel. In this Historical Romance you have a receive a storyline of deception, mystery, rivalry, and the major thing romance. Darius has one thing that other clans will stop at nothing to get, his ancestors have been able to keep ahold of it. But now there may be one weakness that might be his downfall. I enjoyed how the author wrote this character, you can tell the amou ...more

This story from the very first grabbed a hold of me and refused to let go! I was completely swept up by the characters and the story itself. I felt as though I had been whisked away to Scotland and I never left my home. As each clan seeks this relic the suspense and thrill of the hunt had my attention and then humor and romance was incorporated and I became a reading fool on a frenzy to discover the truth and what fate awaited those who set out to deceive. I must admit that Darius MacDuff is on ...more

How far would you go for your family? Would you kidnap someone, pretend to be someone you aren't, fake your entire life? Well that is just what Tegan finds herself doing! I can't imagine!
Tegan is sent to stay with her families enemy in order to get the relic back, and she maybe gets a little distracted along the way.
Tegan is my favorite in this book because she is SUPER strong willed and she really has to come to grips with what the meaning of the word 'honor' is, so she is forced to do a lot o

***I received a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
This book is filled with all sorts of sibling shenanigans, with a healthy dose of Scottish hottness. Kidnapping, deceit, clans hating other clans, it's full of fun adventure, and it was difficult to make myself take a break from reading it. Tegan is a fun character to read, as is Darius.

The search for a special, ancient relic made for an interesting story, especially with the time and place, and I found it to be unique

First, I would like to thank the author Angela Ashton for giving me this book for an honest review. I enjoyed this story, but I most usually enjoy reading historical romances. The story-line is good although there are at times things that don't make sense, but not enough to throw off the story. The world building is good. The characters are well developed and written. I look forward to reading more from this author.
