Recommends it for: all AMERICANS
I am really not into books about the Vietnam War. I’ve read a few and found them hard to follow. I made an exception and read this book because it was recommended to me by a very good friend.
If I could sum this book up in one word it would be "WOW".
This is told from a Naval Corpsman's point of view and shows the respect Marines have for their Docs and the love Docs have for their Marines. This book is a good read; not full of complex military terms that a civilian would have a hard time follow

This is one of the best books I have read. It is very insightful and kept my interest to the end. I have a great respect for anyone who serves in the any of the Armed Forces. Much of what I read I knew a little about since my husband served time over in Nam and had some life changing experiences. He never talked to much about it and still does not to this day and this book gave me an idea of why. It is to bad our Vet's had to be treated the way they were when they got back home and I hope it nev ...more
