Rate this book
Book 1 Prophecy Of The Female Warrior

Anna Wilkins is a prototypical housewife. She buys groceries, picks up the dry cleaning and hosts dinner parties.

Everything was picture perfect from the outside looking in until the life she was born to live collided with the life she was living. Her husband is murdered by a creature from another realm, a creature that is only visible to her. Through her pain, his death awakens a part of her she didn't know existed. She is then thrust into a life of Vampires, Werewolves and Sexy Nephilim Warriors.

Drawn to her by a bond as old as their race, a Nephilim Warrior finds Anna at her darkest hour and seeks to arouse what lies dormant within her. The scorching sexual attraction she and the Warrior feel for one another may be beyond anything either of them can control...

Book 2 Destiny Of The Female Warrior

Nothing has ever come easily for the last female warrior of the Nephilim. Now that Anna has found her place in the world, she has much to learn about her new role as Queen. As the mating bond becomes clear, emotions run high as one of the sexy warriors must step aside while the other takes Anna as his Queen and assumes the throne.

It is a wild ride, as Anna must return to Georgia to deal with a vampire that is waging war on residents of her hometown. Luckily, she has her best friend/paired sorceress Elise around to keep things interesting. Anna struggles to find the perfect solution that would allow her to remain loyal to her past as well as honor the responsibility of her present.

Book 3 Blood Kiss

Julie manages her life the best way she knows how, by waking up everyday and putting one foot in front of the other, along with a little help from modern medicine. Most days she holds things together pretty well; as the mother of twin toddlers and a wife to a husband she can barely stand she still manages to keep up appearances and paste a smile onto her face. Until dreams of a sexy vampire plague her nights leaving her panting when she wakes.

Julie begins to struggle with her own urges though she dare not admit aloud that she now has a taste for blood. She longs to indulge her desire by taking the vein of the vampire that makes her quake with need. How much longer can she keep the creature inside of her at bay? Only time will tell if Julie is strong enough to resist her darkest desire or if she even wants to try.

Love this series! Its a must read! I was given the first 3 books in the series for an honest review.

K.A. Young has given you a world with vampires, werewolves and some very kickass Nephilim warriors. Anna is awesome, I was totally sucked into her world, full of action, mystery, betrayal and (lust)love! I loved the relationships that were made and watching them grow. The book has twists and turns and leaves you guess what now? I couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to reading the next book!

K.A. Young has gotten a new fan!

I was fortunate enough to be given the “The Nephilim Warrior Series" books 1, 2 & 3, by K.A. Young, in exchange for an honest review via Goodreads.

Those of you who have read any of my reviews will, hopefully, note I try to not give any spoilers. The following three shall be similar but maybe a hint layered in between the lines.

The Prophecy of the Female Warrior opens full of emotion, and begs the reader to ask himself/herself what would I feel if this ever happened? How would I react and behave?
I found myself identifying with Anna from the start, her reactions and inner thoughts toward Joe. Through the book, things take a turn from where we started from, but K.A. Young did manage to maintain the connection between Anna and the reader. Admittedly, there are a few spots where I thought the connection would, perhaps even should, have been lost but weren't. Needless to say, book 1 closes just as emotionally charged as the opening.

Destiny of the Female Warrior follows with an equally emotionally charged feeling. I've found this is a hard task to accomplish for writers at times. K.A. Young found whatever magic was needed, and put it to good use. Anna continued to grow, and impress, throughout the obstacles put in her way. Add in a few extra sizzling, very descriptive, scenes with some equally yummy characters, makes this reader want to consume more! Let's just say Eli and Torch definitely are a success, toss in Nyoka and watch/feel the fire within burn...

Blood Kiss was a surprise, I didn't expect to switch points of view and was disappointed to be ripped away from Anna, BUT K.A. Young made it work! Despite my internal protests, I continued and I am GLAD that I did! Not only was K.A. Young able to tie in the first books main storyline, primary and secondary characters, she was able to expand on these characters while bringing everything, in a great way, together that was touched on in the first 2 books. She was able to successfully unite this series and still make the reader beg for more. I'm just not sure what book I want first, Warrior Redeemed or The Coven...I can promise that both of those books shall be in my library, and that I will be following K.A. Young career.

I have to admit this at the beginning is I love good strong female character. What makes this extra special the writing without it the book will fall flat on it's face. That being said this book doesn't disappoint with good strong female characters~the bonus they're warriors. This series is comparable to Billy Wong's Legend of the Iron Flower Series mind you yes it's high fantasy yet works really well with this paranormal book. I don't make this statement lightly because I find that many authors ignore strong female characters as whole this is rarity not the norm. I definitely recommend this series for anyone who enjoys strong female characters.

I was given this book as a part of Read it and Reap to provide an honest review.

In the Nephilim Warrior Series we are introduced to Anna and Julie, sisters who are not as human as they thought they were. In the first 2 books of the series we meet Anna, who finds out she is a part of the Nephilim warrior race, a supernatural race that has incredible strength, fighting abilities and eyes that glow when they feel strong emotion. Oh and she happens to be the mate to Eli, the future king of Nephilim, she just doesn't know it yet. In the 3rd book we are brought into Julie's story. Julie is a natural born vampire of royal bloodlines who is drawn to both Drakos, the vampire king, and Torch, a Nephilim warrior with a secret. Throughout the series we follow the sisters as they try to acclimate to their new-found identities and supernatural abilities while also being involved in wars, supernatural political intrigue, kidnappings and finding their true mates.

I enjoyed the series from the beginning, as I love just about anything that offers a new twist on the typical werewolf/vampire urban fantasy genre. I actually found myself liking the sidekicks more than the main characters. I loved Elise, a feisty Nephilim sorceress who quickly befriends Anna. There were a couple of things that kept me from rating the series as 4 stars, the first being the editing.

Now, I know the book was edited, but I'm not sure if the copy I received was a final draft or not, because there were a TON of grammatical and spelling errors throughout the series. I mean, simple things that a spellcheck would have picked up. There was also an abundance of commas. Commas where there should have been a semi-colon, commas where there should have been a period, commas where there should have been no commas. It drove me crazy trying to read it sometimes. The tone of the dialogue was also off at times. Anna is a young woman in her late 20's living in the 21st century, but sometimes she spoke as if she was ancient, and the "tone" of her conversation wouldn't match what was going on in the book. Anna sometimes came across as flat to me, and I found her reactions to situations to be unnatural. Eli also was way too overbearing and I felt the author was heavy-handed with emphasizing his role as the protective, masculine lover. I really wanted to know more about the Nephilim race and would have loved a more detailed history about them other than that they came from the sacred land and eating food from there made them stronger.

I felt like the 3rd book was better written and the storyline was much more fleshed out. The characters in Julie's story were much more believable and had better chemistry. There were still some grammatical and spelling errors, but they weren't as numerous. Maybe the author had gotten into her groove better or knew the characters better, I'm not sure, but I really loved Julie and Torch's storyline. Their passion was hot to read, and discovering Torch's secret was an added bonus and something that I never saw coming.

Overall, this is a good series that has great potential. I think that if the author adds more background and details to the storyline and really tightens up on the editing this would be a great series. I actually am interested in reading the spin-off series that Elise has and the 4th book that tells the story of Eli's brother. I'm not sure if I would purchase them unless they were on sale, though, as I would hate to pay full price on something with so many simple to fix errors.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

Book 1 Prophecy Of The Female Warrior

I'm really glad I read this book, 'cause I've a feeling had it not been for Shut Up and Read, I might have missed this book.

I really enjoyed the story, though a couple of things irked me.
Anna Wilkins is your regular housewife, managing her household, in love with her husband, leading a happy and content life. All that changes when her husband suddenly dies. Anna knows she isn't like other people, she has visions when she touches a person. On touching her husband's body she she sees the brutal way in which he was murdered, by a being that resembled nothing human. Thus begins Anna's journey to find out her origins and what she really is.

Being the only female Nephilim warrior, Anna is coveted by the leaders of both the good and the bad side. While her attraction to Eli is pretty evident, her attraction to Nyoka can't be denied either. While Eli keeps her in the dark, Nyoka is free with his words. With a war looming on the horizon, Anna has to choose right or everything will be lost.

I liked the instant friendship between Anna and Elise. They complimented each other quite well, and were willing to do everything to help each other.

Book 2: Destiny of the Female Warrior

Destiny of the Female Warrior starts right after the first book ends. Anna is now the Queen of the Nephilims, she has found her place in her world. Now as the mating bond becomes clearer, she has to make a definite choice. We already know who she'll choose, but seeing her make a choice is quite satisfactory.

This book is also as full of action and romance as the first one, and quite a good read. You'll not be disappointed. There are some really unexpected twists and turns that'll leave you squirming in your seat. Say what may, but Eli and Nyoka going at each others throats for Anna is fun to watch.

Book 3: Blood Kiss

Blood Kiss is Julie's story; Anna's sister. She is managing her life as best as she can, with a husband who she can't stand and two kids wrecking havoc. It's a good thing modern medicines are around. That;'s what's keeping her together. Until one night, where she dreams of a sexy vampire and leaves her panting.

New urges have awakened in her; namely a taste for blood. Keeping it control is not as easy as it sounds. I was surprised to find Torch as the hero of this story. He always seemed quite reserved and maybe even a little stuck up.

This was not as good as the first two books, but well worth the read.

I read these 3 books one right after the other and 1 book a day.

This is about Anna and Eli, her sister Julie and Torch.
book 1 - Anna is a housewife with a normal life until her husband is murdered. She knows that whatever killed him was not of this world and she is now discovering a new side of herself. She is the last female nephilim warrior. She meets Eli (a nephilim warrior) and has an instant sexual bond with him.
Book 2 (some of book one) - Eli is training Anna as a warrior and naturally falls in love with her. She becomes the queen and the warriors will now choose sides. Anna must fight a vampire who is loose in her home town and she take with her, her best friend who happens to be a sorceress to help her. this book is Anna's rise as queen and Eli's as king.
Book 3 is Julie's story. Julie is a lost soul, a mom of 2, who is getting help from a shrink and lots and lots of meds. She starts dreaming of a sexy vampire and soon has urges for blood. She doesn't know how long she can keep her urges away nor does she really want to.

The series is incredible and I will probably get the next book. Vampires, Weres, etc. what could be bad?

I was given this book to review.

This is a true paranormal romance, and I loved it. Books one through three show you a world of vampires, werewolves, and warriors that will capture your attention.

Books one and two follow the story of Annabelle, a grieving widow who searches for the monster who murdered her husband. Follow along as Annabelle realizes her true destiny as the queen of the Nephillim warriors. These books throw you in different directions and keeps you on the edge of your seat!

Book three is a spinoff of the first two. It's the story of Annabelle's sister Julie. Julie who was but a tired and abused housewife and mother. Julie soon becomes aware of an illness that she has which is soon revealed is just her true self emerging. She is becoming a vampire just as her children are. But who is the real father. Again K.A. Young keeps you guessing throughout her books. I love them and can't wait to read others by her!!

From the start I enjoyed this series it kept you going with the first two books about Annabelle and what she had to deal with while learning about her heritage and destiny as a Nephillam Warrior (the last of the female Nephillam warriors) then the third book threw you when it took things through the eyes of her sister and what she had to go through with her newfound heritage, everytime you think you have things figured out with the book the author throws a curve ball in there that says oh no you don't and it gets even better. I loved how instead of doing side novella's about each character they are incorporated into the series this is a definite reccommend to everyone. Thanks for the chance to read.

I received this book in exchange for a review. I really enjoyed the series. The first two books are about Anna. Anna has just started grieving the death of her husband when she finds out she's not really human. She is taken into a whole new world. She doesn't tell her sister, Julie, because she wants to protect her. Anna is learning all about her heritage and powers in the first two books.

In the third book, Julie finds out she is half vampire. Her husband is not really the father of her twins. Julie has trouble accepting what she and Anna are. What happened to her normal life?

I would love to read the fourth book in the series and the series about Anna's sorceress.
