The Little Book of Freemasonry

Rate this book
What is Freemasonry? Where did it come from? Why is it secret? Is it part of a sinister conspiracy? These are a few of the questions that have been asked about Freemasonry for at least three centuries. It is remarkable that Freemasonry inspires the same questions today. This book answers those questions, recounts the history of Freemasonry in Europe and the United States, and explains the spiritual significance of and symbolism used in the teachings of this mysterious fellowship.Sangeet Duchane is the co-author of The Dream Finder. A former attorney with a Masters degree in Theology from the prestigious Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, she has spent many years studying spirituality, meditation, and the esoteric, and has lived in both India and Japan. She specializes in the comparative study of religious and philosophical traditions.

A nice little book about the history of Freemasonry and ideas where Freemasonry is originated.
I like the fact that the author didn't go into the conspiracy theories.

It was interesting for the most part. Very quick read. I understand the purpose of the book is to serve as a quick introduction to the topic of freemasonry. I guess the part I struggled with is there was no list of sources or references.
