Better than the first book for sure. Nonetheless I don't think I will read anymore of this series. It just keeps repeating itself. I'm sick of Airel crying for every possible reason. And the few good parts are not that good to make me read 6 books. I'll try my luck with another book afterall.

I read this series years ago and remember loving it. I tried rereading it and had to push myself to read and finally quit without finishing. Rating it a 3 because I know it's enjoyable and I think it's just too YA for me now.

I found the story interesting enough to finish, but got tired of the "love" story after awhile. I might read the next in the series, not rushing though.

DNF. I kept hoping for some answers, a comeback, something to make me connect to the story and characters but it didn’t come. Would not recommend

(addition to review: Please be careful which editions you purchase. There is 1 Airel book and 1 Michael book that have both part 1&2 (A) and part 3&4 (M). There is only 1 Uriel, so no worries there.)
This series is absolutely not anything I imagined it would be - It is more!! Oh so much more!! While this series does start off as a YA book with Airel, it very quickly sucks you in and before you know it, you are living the lives of (& with) Airel, Kim, Michael, Kreios and Ellie and the rest, and it has become way more than your typical YA series. But what a life! I do have to say, in my review of Airel I had said the following "...I was a little leery about the part that says "..it takes a miracle for that same male, or in this case males, to write a novel from the POV of a teenage girl...". ...", but now after having finished Michael and Uriel, I like the difference it makes. Between seeing this from a male perspective and what Airel becomes (no spoilers here!), her decisions and thoughts, take on a whole new meaning. I love these books more than I thought I would. They are definitely books that I will read over and over and over again!! Bottom line: I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD GIVE THIS SERIES A READ!!! IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO LOVES PARANORMALS/ANGELS/CHARACTERS YOU CAN RELATE TO AND STORIES YOU CAN GET LOST IN, THEN THIS IS THE SERIES FOR YOU!!!

I have never read a book based on what happened to angels who chose to be human and the ramifications of that decision. I thought this would be a typical teen romance but it's definitely becoming more.On to the next book in the series.

Finally, we get past the weakness of Airel book one, and we get to some of the good stuff. The writing is better, The plot starts to matter, (YAY we like PLOT!) devastating realities occur...and death will come to someone unexpected.
It's the Original War's 1/3 of the Angels who fell with Lucifer and became demons of the Brotherhood, versus those Angels who fell for the sake of loving the comely human women... and their offspring. The descendants of those who fell for love are in the middle of a new war.
Airel learns more about Micheal, and finds her best friend Kim used as bait to get to her. Of course Airel can't let Kimmie suffer.
If you liked book one, book two is MUCH better. And well, if you didn't like book one, then book two is your chance to see if the series can be saved for you. It worked for me!

It gets better
If it is possible this book was even better than the first. Airel finds out who/what she is. She finds out who her captor is. She embraces her destiny. She wins. She loses. It is glorious and tragic. There are a few golden nuggets for the young reader. I'm loving this series. The authors are brimming with talent without a doubt.
I see peanut butter sandwiches in my future. I will be spending my lunch money on the rest of these books.

It took a bit for me to get into, but once I got into the series, it became impossible to put down, though it is obvious that the authors had different opinions on how the book should go, as there is a mixture of writing techniques and the story tends to go up and down a bit, but overall, a good read :)

I abandoned this series. I have to say the new fad of dragging out a story so silly so that you can chop it up and sell it in more pieces is infuriating! The plot circles a lot without going anywhere for long stretches. The 300 pages I've read should've been 3 chapters

I'm impressed.
There were moments that were weak, but overall it's a fairly good book. There is some great writing in here and some serious twists. It's nice to be surprised.
