Three exceptionally excellent tales from Tanzania, Nigeria, and Zaire. Highlighting 'How the mountains came to be, How the sun got into the sky, and How people got fire.' Exceptionally good illustrations add to the enjoyment of each story. Excellent reading for elementary students.
Includes three traditional African folktales. Very familiar style that includes anthropomorphic animals and natural elements. The endnote talks about Nigeria and west Africa, but I would have preferred some additional context on the stories’ origins.
