Ok I am going to make this short, sweet, and to the point. I had a really hard time rating this book because I really wanted to like it. It sounded so good. This book has so much potential with a story plot that could have been really interesting. The problem with this book was it was written poorly. The story was choppy and all over the place which made things confusing. The story would bounce from one scene to the next without making any segue. One minute they would be making love a

One thousand years to forever is a surprisingly good story. I had never read anything from this author before so I was leery about yet another vampire series. I am happy to report the story is amazing and a very unique tale on vampires/immortals.

Katherine's husband is killed by terrorists in the twin towers in New York on 9/11. He was a fire fighter trying to save as many as he could before the tower collapsed. Katherine was working in the tower in that fateful morning. Her husband is there to

What emotion can stand the test of time? True love. And, this book definitely proves that. Colum and Katherine are perfect for one another and no matter how many times Katherine dies, Colum never stops loving her. This time, he’s determined to stop it from happening again. Colum is sexy and mysterious with just the right amount of dominance.

I went through a wide range of emotions while reading this book; sadness over 9-11, happiness when Colum and Katherine finally meet again, and more! I would

This love story through time and through different worlds is done very gracefully.

Katherine MacNamara was in the elevator on that fateful September 2011 day. She calmly gets herself and the other occupants out when the power fails, and begins leading them down the stairwell where her firefighter husband, John is on his way up. He can't convince her to continue down to safety with the others. She is determined to be with him even though it's a death sentence to do so.
Colum O'Heachthanna is suddenly there and picks Katherine up to take her to safety. As she is kicking and screa

Good premise, but poor execution

I liked the story, the plot, and her use of 9/11. It sucked me in, but then the story went flat until the end, which seemed ridiculous that she would leave a protected place, with multiple servants, to get milk. I couldn't buy that aspect, so it felt forced on the author's part to move the plot along. The climax was pretty short and not much happened. The largest issues I saw was the author's inability to clearly depict actions happening. Actions were described in

A wonderfully written story that combines paranormal fantasy with the tragic events of nine eleven at the Twin Towers in NYC. Such a powerful, gripping and compelling story. Colum, the size of Goliath, the smile of an angel and the inner fire of a demon, is a fallen angel-a vampire- eternally cursed to be both guardian and protector of mankind has found his Katherine, his fated mate and the eternal love of his life. He has loved her for a thousand years but will he be able

Wow, that prologue was hard to read, especially if you are a New Yorker like me. I liked that the author created a mythology around vampires. I always enjoy it when authors have a unique backstory for why a magical creature exists and how they function around humans.

I really liked how she set it up like Romeo and Juliet. You know how Shakespeare tells us they will die in the first pages of the play? So does the author here. It's not WILL she be changed but how and why.

I liked how she set up the

A love story that transcends time
Very well written and enjoyable story to read. First in series but still a standalone story. Very original story line intertwining a little from the past with the present. I loved the character interplay with all of them not just the main ones. You have life, love, death, terrorist enemies and a love story that transcends time itself. Interesting and very entertaining story to read. Even though some of the characters are “Vampires”, this is unlike any vampire sto

A very sweet love story that began a long time ago. Colum and Katherine meet again during 9/11 after more years than I can count and 9 yrs later their love story begins a new. I loved reading their story and how the author kept her kids and others from Colum's family a part of the story and not left behind. You get to know everyone in a way that made me not be able to put down the book until I was done reading it, started and finished in one day. I can't wait to read the next book. A love story ...more

Vampires vs terrorists. Guess who wins.

On 9/11 Katherine McNamara loses her husband, a firefighter in NYC. She is saved from the towers explosion by a handsome, warrior-type man who also happens to the the son of the vampire king. As fallen angels it is Colum's family responsibility to protect the world from evil deeds. Terrorists are at the top of this list. It is exciting and romantic. The kind of life I can't wait to visit again. Can't wait to get the next book.

I was unsure about this at first because I found it a little confusing. It started off kinda fast and I had to re-read to really understand but once Chapter 1 came the reading became easier.

This is technically as short story. There as not much depth into it or back story; especially on the characters. I did enjoy the story though. I found it to be really romantic and heartfelt and of course, the paranormal/fantasy elements :-)

Oh! And it was FREE!!

One Thousand Years to Forever by Mary Moriarty is an amazing book. She hooked me in the prologue and never let go. This is a fast paced, action packed book that just flew by. I absolutely loved it. This is my first book by Mary Moriarty and I am happily a fan for life. Well done indeed!

Would not recommend

The many grammatical errors drove me crazy. It should have been utmost not upmost. It should have been than and not then, etc. The story was rather cheesy with awkward progressions.

Colum needs his mate. He's been waiting for her again maybe this time he can change her so he can keep her. Kat is feisty. She will do what she wants. So what does destiny decide?

4 1/2 stars. This was an enjoyable read, although I admit, I wouldn't have minded more information from Katherine and Collum's past. After reading another book from this author, I immediately jumped into this book, and it didn't disappoint.
