Really enjoyable story about a missionary nurse in Africa and the bush pilot with a secret that she falls in love with. There's also a great cast of secondary characters, a lot going on to keep the story interesting, and I loved the setting of Africa.

I was looking for a book while waiting for the chance to go to the library to pick up my on hold books. This book is from the heart warming books but just not a book for me.

Leslie Carpenter needs a respite from the tragedy that nearly destroyed her--so she escapes to serve as a nurse-practitioner in a rural clinic in Kenya.
Ben Murphy's story doesn't jibe with who he really is, but he, too, uses his clandestine activities in Kenya to fight the demons that plague him.
Neither Leslie nor Ben is looking for love, but they find it, along with redemption and rekindled hope that the word 'future' also means 'hope' and another opportunity for love to bloom and grow.

I loved this book!! It was the perfect summer read!! I loved the storyline, and I loved the author's writing style. If you're looking for an easy read, I highly recommend "Out of the Shadows"!!
