Sylpha Langlis became an adventurer at age 15 to learn the meaning of chivalry. En route to an old castle for a B-rank mission, she and her companions were suddenly attacked-by none other than two members of the Assassin's Guild!
Just when I was wondering if I should drop this series it just got good again. I didn't care much about the first part of this volume. But the second half gave Sylpha's character some much-needed context for her apparent lack of noticing unusual things. And the overall arc was good but the villains are lackluster as always.
It’s fine. I feel like this retcon of Sylpha’s past doesn’t really fit in with what was established prior, but I guess I hardly remember the early volumes so I’ll let it slide. 😅 At least we’re (presumably) back in the present next volume…
