She’s 15! Okay, you really cannot justify the appearance of these characters….. Imma ignore that and say that her age is 25 or something, but that makes her devotion to the prince more problematic. Other than that issue (which will always be an issue), froggy always needs to be part of this series and should be the standard outfit for Lloyd.

In the next volume, the next major arc will (potentially) begin, so I’m excited to start that after a short break from this series. There is only so much questionable attire that I can take except from Lloyd because his mind is older due to the reincarnation.

Maybe I need to take a longer break from the series. The excessive fan service is annoying to me, and I find myself rolling my eyes a lot at the fight scenes. Of course Lloyd came in and just cleaned house with one move after all that angst and hard work by everyone else. And Sandra was healed at a touch, completely derailing any emotional payoff from her sacrifice. It makes it difficult to find any tension in the series when problems are solved this easily.

Just when I was wondering if I should drop this series it just got good again. I didn't care much about the first part of this volume. But the second half gave Sylpha's character some much-needed context for her apparent lack of noticing unusual things. And the overall arc was good but the villains are lackluster as always.

It’s fine. I feel like this retcon of Sylpha’s past doesn’t really fit in with what was established prior, but I guess I hardly remember the early volumes so I’ll let it slide. 😅 At least we’re (presumably) back in the present next volume…
