Baseball has had a long time to build up a substantial encyclopedia of conventional wisdom about strategy and player analysis: when to bunt, for example, or what to make of a player on a hot streak, or how to set a lineup. Sit through any broadcast for a (usually overbearing) sample of it. But most of this stuff is just anecdotal. This is going to be a very short review, mirroring my experience with this book:

Simply put, there were far, far too many numbers in this book to make it a viable read for anyone below a mathematician. If you have those skills or want to take the time to figure it out, than maybe this book will have something for you. Otherwise, it is more math problems than anything.

A better option for fans looking for a good baseball sabermetrics title is "Baseball Between The Numbers", or those looking for an

Interesting book, although it gets into the detailed math a bit too much for me. It has very good insights of the game in some points.
