Great MM read

Well I have to say I was a little shocked, I guess I didn’t read very well, as I wasn’t aware that this was a MM supernatural read.
This is only the second MM book I have ever read and I do have to say it wasn’t bad at all, I do love my shifters and vampires.
And I do look forward to reading the rest of the series.

The Black Aggie legend underlying this story intrigued me. I've never lived on the MD coast so wasn't familiar with Black Aggie so that definitely piqued my interest. I also liked how the series progresses from the first book (The Moon's Dirty Light), which focuses primarily on shifters. In this story, we get to spend more face time with other paranormals populating this world, too. Fun and smexy.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. What can I say? This story was hot! We got to see some more of Logan and Dylan, met Liam and Bartek, and got one hell of a story! I can’t wait to see what goes down with the vampires and how Bartek exacts his revenge! I want his revenge to be epic! I wanted to make this review longer but I didn’t want to let too much out of the bag. I can’t wait for the next story, though!

This is the first book in this series that I have read. It was an amazing book and I believe that I am going to enjoy this series tremendously. There was mystery. There was danger. There is vampires and shifters. And then there was the biggest twist that I did not see coming.

Liam is a detective and he lands a case that is beyond disturbing. He believes in paranormal, I mean how could he not when his best friend is a werewolf. But to have a A ghost actually murdering people, thatbis just beyond h

Death has again come to Baltimore and it’s of the supernatural kind. Can Liam accept that werewolves are just a small part of that world?
Beneath the 13th Moon is second in by H.L. Holston’s Werewolves of Baltimore series. And Liam has picked up a case with no obvious cause of death. When all plausible reasons have been explored he is left with the implausible, but can he accept it? Bartek is attracted to Liam but not his narrow view. However, when fate brings Liam back into his world will Bartek

So there were a couple of things in this book that I just didn’t understand. Why would Cedric create a weapon that can so easily be used against him and completely remove him from any kind of power or influence? And what could his end goal be? Does the serum prevent someone inoculated from ever becoming a vampire again? If not, even as a threat, it doesn’t seem to be particularly effective. If so, I can see it scaring some vampires into submission, but since it doesn’t prevent other par

Story hit all my buttons, action, hot intense men, complex characters, passionate moments, intriguing story-line and great supporting characters. So many twists and turns in this story, i could not put it down! Wow, i was hooked from page one and read this book instead of working, i was a very bad girl and a very happy one!

The connection between Liam and Bartek sizzled in a really compelling way. A deep personal, soulmate kinda of connection. As the reader i felt their pain and their passion. I

I recommend reading the previous book as those MCs make a significant appearance in this story.

I liked this story more that the previous story. The MCs were a lot more likable. The story was still really short for the plot that is being told, so while it held up okay on the romance (insta-love) and the paranormal (vampires and werewolves), the mystery side of the story was rather lacking. Just as sexy as book one - Liam Van Zandt homicide detective meets Bartek Szala a police consultant during a mysterious murder case but he can't focus on anything but Bartek and the feelings mutual. Even though Liam knows the paranormal world is at his doorstep with seeing Logan (from book 1) turn into a werewolf he knows anythings possible but what he doesn't realize is there is more then just werewolves out there. Very sexy story; Bartek and Liam are sexy as hell together and they can't get en ...more

Slow on the uptake, but worth the read. Glad I got in with the guys. Totally good way to enjoy my day off. Ladies, you need to continue the series soon!

Apparently I had read this series back in 2014 and it was only via GR that I remembered. This is one time I can definitely say, the second time around was the best. I enjoyed the human Liam and his lover Bartek immensely. The police detective and the vampire Doctor were there for each other t

Well my earlier review was wrong and I tried to find a way to edit and it would not let me. So I first must apologize for the bad review and say to be honest I was surprised in the way the story ended. I never read a book were the reader is taken by surprise by the reversal of roles like this one from a vampire to a werewolf just to save and keep the love of the two guys had for each other. The first part of the book was like I said earlier confusing and pretty boring but after the incident with ...more

This is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. I liked this book so much I went and bought the first one. It has all the suspense and action of a police thriller, the excitement of the paranormal with a heaping side of romance. I am looking forward to catching up with the first book while waiting excitedly for the next one. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.

Love this second book in this wonderful series. Great storyline that had hooked all the way through. Liam and Bartek are great characters with spectacular chemistry. Unexpected twists in the story kept me on the edge of my seat. Loved seeing Logan and Dylan from book 1 pop up in this one. Can't wait for the next book in this series.

Witches, werewolves and vampires.... oh, my! Well a bit of witches in a round about way but vampires and werewolves are the main part of this story. The author does a great job creating the characters and the story line. It is very easy to get into and reads very well. I can't wait for the next chapter, as I am sure this story will be continued.... ...more

Werewolves of Baltimore: Beneath the 13th Moon by H.L. Holston is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number two in this wonderful series that I have fallen in love with. I highly recommend this story if you like reading about shifter knotting, vampires and all the good things that come with it.

This is the second book in The Werewolves of Baltimore Series. A fascinating book the writing was good. There were a couple of grammar issues though. As with the first book there is detail that is missing to take the story to the next level. And the deaths are like an afterthought with the conclusion being too easy. The first sex scene had no buildup it was like on first meeting someone you say hi and stop right there and have sex on the spot. The plot was entertaining and it was steady througho ...more

So far not as impressed as the first book the storyline not laid out to well for an example one minute they are running upstairs and then all sudden you are a party for a wedding and the characters at the party was not explained at all who they were and really what was said was not enough to peak my interest there was no bill up to the wedding party. This book I finding very hard to read. The first book I could not set down and yes I wrote some criticism on it but they were very mild compared th ...more

Who doesn’t love a man of mystery
The author did not disappoint with this second installment to the series. As a Baltimore native I might be a little biased, but this story has so many twists and turns and the characters really come alive off of the pages. I love how the author gave these couples that connection that goes beyond love and into the realm of the soul. It was nice catching up with the characters from the first book and I can only hope that we will see them again in the next book. I a

i loved this book just like the first one of this series but can be read alone, Liam Van Zandt is a detective and is on a case that stumps him so he ask his former partner(who is in the first book and is a werewolf) for help so he sends Liam to Dr Bartek Szala a folklorist to help but as soon as they see each other sparks fly and alot more they have to overcome to be together.i read this book for my honest review

This was so dumb.

I actual don't find hazing funny at all, and the example was horribly mean.

Wow, a lot of cliches: "can see writing on the wall," "last one is a rotten egg," "Denial isn't just a river in Egypt."

Every other sentence is the vampire judging arousal or attractiveness or judging the love interest, and it's getting tedious and really interrupting the storyline. The sentences should be grouped so you can read some judgmental stuff, and then some plot. At this stage of the g

There were positives to the book as well, though. Once both men committed to each other they were intense together. Liam's last thought when he thought he was dying was that he wanted more time with Bartek, and once Bartek reached that point, he was willing to spend forever together.

After enjoying book 1 so much, I just couldn't get into this. It didn't have the quirkiness of the first one. The case of the Black Aggie was a bit too dry, the pacing moved to slowly, I found little interesting about Liam, and Bartek just rubbed me the wrong way. The ending had some potential and I will always like seeing Dylan and Logan appear, but it needed a bit more punch to make it work. ...more

Amazing action packed book filled with vampires, shifters, romance, magic, and mystery. The storyline and characters are believable. How far would Liam go for true love? I will not say you must read the book but I can tell you it is well worth it. I could not stop reading it I wanted more and so will you. If you love romance, mystery, shifters, vampires, and magic this is the book for you.
