Long For Me is the third prequel in Shiloh Walker's Secrets & Shadows Series. I'm really, really enjoying this continuing story that includes all of my favorite characters, but focuses on a different one in each book. This one is about Guy & Christina. Everyone knows how they feel about each other, except each other. Even I saw it, through the beautifully descriptive words of the author, while reading Break For Me. Christina is the baby in the family. She's used to bein

My Review:
I knew when I finished the second novella of this introductory trilogy that this was going to be a difficult and emotional book. I wasn't wrong. I don't know who my heart broke for more with these two characters...Guy or Chrissie?

Guy is so much in love with Chrissie and as the investigation into her mother's death winds down he sees her slipping further and further away. And although this alone is so freaking emotional, he has so many other issues going on. The burning hatred he feels

Long For Me, the third and final prequel novella in Shiloh Walker’s Secrets & Shadows series, without a doubt is my favorite yet. Guy and Chrissie completely and irrevocably stole my heart and their story was an extremely emotional read for me. However, it offered much needed closure that we have all been so desperate for.

Guy and Chrissie are in love. They each offer solace, support, comfort and unconditional love to the other. Guy is able to offer Chrissie the peace that she yearns for to quiet

My rating: 5 of 5 ⭐️

As youngest of the Bell family, Christina may have felt the disappearance of her mother deepest. Living the last fifteen years in limbo, not knowing what happened had taken a toll on her family and although her siblings had recently found ways to unglue themselves, Chris was still firmly stuck in a place where only the answers could propel her forward.

Her brother's best friend, and extra child in their household, Guy Miller, had made h

In the set of prequel novellas for the Secrets and Shadows series, this is the third and final one. It brings all the secrets into the open regarding Nichole Bell's disappearance and is the story of Chris Bell, the youngest sibling and Guy Miller, the boy next door who has always loved her though she pushed him firmly into the friend category.

This third story gives the closure of Nichole Bell's death with a culprit and a memorial and allows the family to truly grieve her loss. Chris has her own

Christina Bell remembers a time when her family was happy and whole but that was taken from her the night her mother, Nicole, disappeared and never returned. Christina always refused to believe her father had anything to do with her mother’s disappearance. Relying heavily on her best friend to help her get through the pain, she soon begins to take another look at the man who has always been at her side.

I have really enjoyed getting to know more about the Bell siblings and Long for Me, the third novella in this series, was no different. This time we delve deeper into Chrissie and Guys relationship and learn more about the circumstances surrounding her mothers death. Each novella has been pulling more at my emotional heartstrings and I knew that Chrissie and Guys story would too, and I was becoming more invested in this family being able to move past their grief and find happiness and l

So much emotional depth…

This is the third novella in the Secrets & Shadows series and should be read in series order.

Christina Bell is the youngest of the Bell children and perhaps the one most affected by their mother’s disappearance for she was the one who needed her mother the most. She was always different and had issues in school. It was years before she was diagnosed as being dyslexic and having ADD. She’s quite a strong woman who just deals with things in the way that is best for her and

In Long for Me, the author finally reveals the details about the circumstances that led to the death and disappearance of Nichole Bell 15 years earlier. Readers of Break for Me already knew who was directly responsible for Nichole’s death and I, for one, could not wait to read this novella to find out how the revelation was going to affect Guy’s relationship with Chris.

As the youngest of the Bell siblings, Christina “Tink” was deeply affected by the loss of her mother. Because she was still a ch

Christina Bell was just a little girl when her mother disappeared and she's never been the same since. A bit of a rebel, honest to a fault and with a caring heart, Christina just wants to move on with her life and not be the source of town gossip.

But that all goes to hell when her mother's body is found and the truth behind her disappearance makes itself known.

With her sexy best friend now being the talk of the town, Christina must decide how to proceed. Should she support the man who

While reading BREAK FOR ME (the 2nd novella in this series) there were revelations that made me realize this third novella that were going to break my heart and right in line with my expectations the start of this novella left me teary-eyed.
But I also knew that Shiloh Walker, though she'd first break me with this novella, she'd also piece me back together.

Chris and Guy's story is a heartbreaking but beautiful one. It concludes the story arc that began in the first story and lived up

Long for Me is the 3rd novella about the Bell siblings. Chris (Tink) is the youngest of the Bell siblings and honestly seemed to be most effected by her mother's disappearance. Chris has a learning disability and her mom was the one who could really help her focus to study and learn. Chris has always had Guy Miller in her life. He lived down the road from them when they were kids and has always been like a part of the Bell family. I loved Guy from the moment he appeared

I read A LOT and I don't think I've ever read a book where the main character has ADHD and dyslexia. I can only imagine what a difficult time Christina Bell had growing up. Her mother was there in the beginning but after she died, Christina had to deal with the fact that no one knew how to help her quite like her mother did. It's no wonder her life has been such a struggle. Thank God for Guy, her best friend.

This short story packs such a punch! The ups and downs are extremely emotional. As the

Tate’s best friend, Guy Miller has had a crush on the youngest Bell sibling forever it seems. Or could it be a bit more?

Christina is the wild child. The slightly spoiled princess who had a hard time in school with undiagnosed dyslexia and ADD. Now she dyes her hair rainbow colors and communes with flowers. She’s the one who creates the weekly arrangements at their mother’s grave. Each one created with love and care.

Long for Me may be my favorite of the three installments of the Secrets & Shadows e-novellas.

I was highly anticipating this story. Like the Bell family I also wanted answers. Although short, this story was definitely potent. Filled with emotional depth, this story was a roller coaster ride and I didn't want it to end. I loved Chris and Guy as individuals, but even more as a couple. Their story was that much more heartbreaking and real to me because of their shared past and connections. After try

Long For Me is the third prequel novella in the Secrets and Shadows series. It is a well written and professionally edited romance story.

The plot is a continuation of the story told in the first two novellas, but the mystery has been solved already, so it is the aftermath that is supposed to provide the back story.

The Hero is a sheriffs deputy, a very steady character that was raised by a brutal, violent father. He has been friends with the main characters since he was a child.

Long For Me is one of the most emotional books I have read by Shiloh Walker. With the connections between the different characters in this Secrets and Shadows Series, it reminded me of how the Hunters Series was so all connected. However, this one story of Guy and Christina reminds me of the Grimm’s Circle Series, so much anguish and heartbreak to overcome. The longing and wishing, the friend to soul mate were so well expressed in this story. Beautifully written, heart wrenching at times, but ju ...more

You know I love BFFs to more stories, and I am so glad I read this one. I really wish I had read these prequels before checking out the full-length books in the Secrets & Shadows series. This one features the youngest Bell sibling, Christina, falling for her best friend, Guy. I loved their chemistry and the way these novellas wrapped up here. Highly recommended for romantic suspense lovers!

The third prequel in the Secrets and Shadows series.

My favorite of the three??? Probably, although I love something different about each one, but in this one we get the conclusion to the disappearance of the Bell's mother so it was satisfying in that aspect. Chris and Guy probably had the hardest obstacle to overcome due to Guy's father's part in the disappearance of momma Bell, but it didn't really become an issue for them so that might have been a missed opportunity, but I still loved the 2 ch

Shiloh Walker has done it again in just a couple of pages. I loved that even though Chris was the youngest when her mother disappeared she never forgot the moments with her mother. Everybody around her knows Guy had no part in it which to me felt really good that they still think of as a friend and nothing else. The love between them is hard to shake even with a tragedy like this. One thing about Shiloh Walker I love is that her characters carry su

Long for me was good. After reading Break for me I wanted to know more about Guy and Chris. It was a great novella and I really enjoyed it.

Too bad she only sees Guy as a friend, and not the way Guy would like their relationship to be. When the truth of her mother's disappearance comes out, will Guy be able to help her? Long For Me was a great continuation of Walker's Secrets & Shadows Series. I am enjoying the story of the Bell siblings and their search for what happened to their mother.
