Okay, here I go... This book has left my mind a all kinds of fucked up! I'm hanging by a thread (literally)!!! Kind of torn to pieces and I don't even know how to start my review. Get a box of tissues ready people!
I give this book 5 ★'s even though there were so many grammar error.
This book has everything I love in a story. Badass biker alpha male, hot and swoon worthy, family bond, friends, excellent heroines & the perfect amount of emotional angst.
Shame: Loved him. He will hold a very special part in my book boyfriend archive.
he will for ever take up space in that archive in my head and heart.

and he fuck her hard indeed.
When Mace called him and old man and told him his 34 year old cock couldnt keep up with her 23yr old pussy... (not exactly those words but thats what she meant) He went crazy, loco! teased her to death and just when she was about to cum he stop and told her
"Nope. This is my game, you want to talk the good game Sweetheart you had better play by my rules. Get on you knees."
Now back to why I this book has torn my heart in to a million pieces beyond repair. Why, because I literally thought this book was going to have a cliffhanger, shit I would of preferred a cliff. What was the fucking author thinking... You killed me. I cried so much. I thought he was fine and that Mace was just being her crazy self and over reacting, but no you destroyed me. You killed me! How can you do that to your characters. Poor Hem couldn't even see his baby when he was born.
The epilogue killed me, died... Poor Sadey! I do not think this ending was fair.
Hem final thought as a ghost/angel whatever he is killed me. Telling Sadey some one that will love her will come for her... Fuck Ace, I dont want him with Sadey. I want Hem to have his happy ending. Fuck re- write the book.
I'm crying again.... I can't get past this. I will never be the same #killed #died

This story was not ready to be told. I don't mind errors in books but if it's on every single fucking page, it will kill the story. The formatting was horrible. It looks liked one huge paragraph, again on every fucking page. From what I understood from the story cause a lot of it didn't make sense, was okay. The MC club I had no problems with. Characters were somewhat enjoyable though I will say that the ladies giggled all the damn time, the men would roar or scream, the ladies would refer their men as Alpha which was overdone and this I found to be very irritating. After 80% I just skimmed. I'm surprised I finished this thinking it might get a little better and it did at the epilogue. It had potential but like I said all the grammar errors and formatting KILLED it.

Oh. Maaa. Gah! I loved it. Literally devoured this book. Sucked it down & didn't want to stop. And now I'm fulfilled, in love, crying, craving more, ready to strangle someone. So many emotions BUT I love books that tear me apart with my emotions. If you make my cold heart feel... Win! On to book 2 I go!

1.5 I-COULDN'T-HOLD-ON STAR!
I'm not a writer/editor but this one needs a lot of work. I'm all into new authors writing mc biker stories or
It started slow but I hold on to it, I was thinking maybe it will get better. It didn't. As I mentioned earlier, this need a lot of editing! There were too many POVs that jump from one to another it didn't make any sense! The character development was lacking. Dialogues were awkward and way freakin' long. There were no word play or phrases. Reading this book made me feel like I'm reading a boring recital of some sort! Seriously. The list goes on.
I'm not a picky reader but this was just too painful. I skimmed a lot and just finally gave up.
Overall? It has a big potential. Will I read the second book? IDK.

Ok first off READ THIS BOOK. I have been on a biker/alpha male kick lately and was so excited to come across this book! I hesitated to start reading it because of reviews that mentioned a cliffhanger and poor editing that left grammar errors etc. So before I go into how much I liked this story let me say.....THE GRAMMAR ERRORS ARE THERE BUT ARE NOT IN ANY WAY TERRIBLE. I noticed them, yes, but it didn't take away from my reading experience. The author is indie! I say cut her some slack. Second the book is NOT a cliffhanger. It is not a HEA or HFN. You know what to look for in the next book. Its not leaving you hanging with anything other than wanting to know more. I would say it leaves you at the best possible place, considering the events.
I love these characters. All of them. Mace is funny and sassy and can dish it out. Shame, OMG sex on a stick and totally alpha, but he has a heart a BIG one. Sadey!! I cannot wait to find out where the next book takes her!!! Then there is Hem.. Sweet sweet Hem. He is complex and deep and sexy. He is arrogant and self deprecating at the same time. I LOVED him!!!
This book does have some violence. If you read the synopsis you will know. I wouldn't say its quite as graphic or violent as other MC books such as Madeline Sheehan or Crystal Spears, but it is not as "clean" as Kristen Ashley's Motorcycle Man. This story takes place or a good length of time. It is not fast paced. It is not rushed. I am so excited because there is still so much that can happen in the next book even with the big questions being answered in this one. Bravo AC Bextor!!!! I loved it! I laughed, cried, clutched my kindle for dear life, and then wanted to hurl it against a wall. All of that means it was a great book....I give it 4.5 stars

2 I REALLY TRIED STARS!!!
First off, I love a good biker romance novel!!!! And I was hoping this would be one of those.... I tried to be really patient in reading this book... in the end, I'm just happy I finished it!
First, it needs serious editing, the grammar...
and those are just the tip of the iceberg!!!!
I'm not very sensitive on book errors but when it's just way too many... it's frustrating.
I was about to quit cause it was giving me a headache. I went and double check the reviews and see all 5 stars! So I figured the story must be really really good right?
But to the end the story just went bonkers!!! The characters was ridiculous too!!!
Sex wasn't even hot....
Sorry, I don't want haters hating... so I'll just say, this book is NOT for me!
Props on the gritty parts, the plot could have been really good.... but that's about it for me!

So I get this book and I'm reading and loving it!! It's got everything I like in a book ----->badass bikers,friends to lovers and throw in some emotional angst and its perfect for me! I also read the blurb for this book and I'm expecting a cliffhanger,halfway thru I realize it's not a cliffhanger in the way you'd be thinking. I then go thru the emotions of being mad at the author and then sad and at the end crying for what she did to her characters!!!
I LOVED every minute of it.....I just need the second book now!!!!

ok ok ok ok ok!!!! I'm giving this book 4 stars ★ only because the ending nearly killed me!!! I cried like a baby literally!!! with that being said, the men in this book are hot-swoonworthly-to-die-for alpha males! the story is amazing. Its everything I love reading about (except that heart wrenching ending!!!)
Shame is so effing fine that I had to change my underwear after reading the hot ass hell sex he and Mace had over and over again! Shame is much older then Mace and although some people find that creepy, I find it totally hot! His love for mace is breathtaking! He's a bit tortured and I think the author should have gone to his past a bit more to find out why he is the way he is. There were parts I wanted to jump in the book and punch him in the throat for being such an ass but he won my heart at the end!
Mace is freaking awesome! she's feisty and takes no shit. It saddened me that she finds out her life was not what she thought it was; the people she thought where her rock end up being her worst nightmare. She's a great friend, the friends you wish you had in real life. She loves Shame right down to her soul!!

Hem: Dear god in heaven (who I don't believe in) give me the strength to not throw my precious kindle across the room. I am so freaking pissed at the ending of this awesome book, PISSED!!!! Hem was my favorite character.. I LOVED HIM!! and the ending killed me, made me scream, cry and smoke 5 cigarettes back to back in my very compressed balcony!! He was the light of the book. His heart was so big, the way he loved Mace was something to admire. His love for Sadey was.. omg it was just fucking beautiful!!! IT DID NOT HAVE TO END LIKE THAT!!!!! WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY??!!?? My heart went into cardiac arrest territory!! I went into this book thinking it was going to be a happy, sex filled, biker badass world with no deaths!!! After reading "The Fault In Our Stars" i couldn't take another heartbreak.. well this book was like taking a knife to the lung!!! I know that not all stories have to end with rainbows and butterflies but this ending was painful!
All I ask the author is to please find it in your heart to make an awesome story for my Sadey..

I didn't like the ending I really would like the author to re-write it and maybe make it a happier one (yes I'm all for sappy endings), but Shame good grief that man holds nothing back with his bluntness, "a man has need, Mace. We are made to eff and eff hard. That being said, if I want to eff Cherry until the woman can't walk, I will. If I want to make Cherry my old lady and grab a piece of that daily, I will. Until you decide you want to take your turn on my co**, shut your mouth in regards to who I expel my needs into, you getting this entirely babe?" He's possessive, "NO, he is not here. He does not exist between us anymore, do you understand? You're mine, I'm making you mine right effing now. This nigh changes it all, Mace. Do you understand what I'm saying to you? No more Greyson, no more dates, no more of any. Other. Man. For. You. You're mine after this."

I was honestly rather surprised by how much I enjoyed the book, i was seriously expecting a KA/Madeline Sheehan rip off but I did not find that. I think when there are a lot of authors covering the same thing, i.e. Motorcycle clubs that there is always going to be overlap in subject matter.
This book contained violence, drama, sex, rape/attempted rape, MC antics, death & alpha men. The book held my interest, I liked the characters & I enjoyed the story.

Hands down the worst edited book I've ever read on my Kindle. There are no chapters or separation of paragraphs. Quotations are incorrect. Did anyone proof this story?
I felt like I was reading the dialogue between middle schoolers. They were so immature. The reason for fighting with each other was so childish. If I had to read one more time how they loved "your face," I thought I would scream.

This book has throughly wiped me out (emotionally).
At first I hated Macie not to say I love her now or anything but she is a bit more bearable..
She was preaching on how she loves her brother Patrick (Hem) and his best friend Shame but when her fiancee was trash talking about them she wasn't the one to jump in defend them.
Then she has this crush on Shame and when it looks like he feels the same she keeps rubbing that douche bag of a Fiancee in his face...
To cut to the chase she was a bitch, but then the book went on and you got to see all 4 POVS and that was nice.
The ending effed me though, I cried and cried because that is a shitty way for an ending, noone deserved that. And then all the twists and plots in the book, holy moly!
Have your tissues ready lady and gents!

Ok, so this one only gets 4 stars BUT it is only due to my irritation at the amount grammatical errors. (With a little editing, this book would definitely be 5 stars) It was really hard to read the first part of the electronic version of this book due to lack of editing. Having said that, I LOVED THE STORY! This is one of the better MC romance plots I have read and trust me, I read a lot of them. :) It had just the right about of suspense, MC background and romance to capture my attention and my heart. I love Hem. He is one deliciously sweet bad boy biker! I must admit I was very surprised by the ending and still haven't come to terms with it. However, I am going to be dying to get the next book in February 2014!

October 23, 2013I'm not going to rate this since it was a big DNF for me. I tried but I just couldn't do it. The dialogue was horrific and the rest was just well...it was all over the damn place. I'm not trying to be harsh but I can't fathom how anyone rated this book five stars unless they were reading something completely different than what I had on my e-reader.

4 I love your face Stars!
I have been on a MC book kick for the past few weeks, grabbing every single one in sight and I got these bad boys on sale as a box set for .99! I was so stoked, and this is my first by A.C. Bextor. I was NOT disappointed!
I absolutely love Mace & Shame together. Although, I thought he was a prick in the beginning for certain events.. That was cleared up and he’s still sexy as shit. One of my favorite things about this book that even though he is an alpha male, like 100 %, he still has a heart of gold. He truly loves mace with everything side him and he has NO problem showing it. He is a romantic at heart and that’s not something you usually see in MC books.
I detested Sadey in this book, I feel like she’s naïve and childlike and needs to grow up. BUT after reading the second my feelings have changed but I could barely stand her in this book. BLEH

I have been on a MC book kick for the past few weeks, grabbing every single one in sight and I got these bad boys on sale as a box set for .99! I was so stoked, and this is my first by A.C. Bextor. I was NOT disappointed!
I absolutely love Mace & Shame together. Although, I thought he was a prick in the beginning for certain events.. That was cleared up and he’s still sexy as shit. One of my favorite things about this book that even though he is an alpha male, like 100 %, he still has a heart of gold. He truly loves mace with everything side him and he has NO problem showing it. He is a romantic at heart and that’s not something you usually see in MC books.
I detested Sadey in this book, I feel like she’s naïve and childlike and needs to grow up. BUT after reading the second my feelings have changed but I could barely stand her in this book. BLEH

Okay so this story was intense. At times I wanted to scream or laugh but in the end all I did was cry like a little baby. So be prepared and have a box of Kleenex when you read this one.
Here are some things I liked about the book:
1-I like the whole alpha badass bike men. Shame and Hem are to die for. Hem is a romantic at heart and is so sweet and caring. Shame is tough but when it comes to Sade he is all soft.
2-I happy that Mace and Shame got together and worked their crap out but still leaves a lot of questions for me hopefully will be answered in the next book.
Here are some things I didn't like so much:
1-I did not like the ending. I know the author said that this book does not contain an exact HEA but was not prepared for that. I really did wish for a HEA for all parties in this book.
2-It needed to be edited better and there seem to be some stuff put in as filler in my opinion but for her first book I say it was good plus there is suppose to be a second book so we’ll see how that one goes.
Okay I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll stop here but I can’t wait to see what the next book holds. Hopefully more Mace, Shame and the club.

OH BOY!! Why oh Why do I punish myself!!!! I love MC books just like every other red blooded female!! I am going to do a spoiler free review or at least try too. My emotions are all over the damn place on this one! I am just shocked at how it all turned out! I will say this ... to me this does not have a cliffhanger ending. It has an ending that leads perfectly into book 2 The Way Home. I have a feeling I know where this is going to go in book 2 and once you read it ... you will know by what I mean!!!
Holding On .. the relationships between Mace, Hem, Shame and Sadey are wonderful! Friends and family for years and years. There is nothing Shame and Hem wouldn't do for their girls. I laughed out loud at the banter between them all. I cried when shit got really real. Literally every single emotion was envoked at some point in this story. I am an emotional right now that I probably am not making any sense.

Breathe, breathe..... I'm a complete emotional basket case. I've been ripped apart. Im shocked, between laughing, crying, repeating OMG, OMG, I don't understand. I RARELY award a book 5 stars, this book is one of the best I've ever read. It pulls at very emotion. I'm raw.... The way the Author anchors you to the characters, you feel their pain and happiness, their indecisions and struggles. You want to scream NOOOOOOO, stop, think but you're there with them and FEEL their turmoil. I quit smoking two years ago but have a need to have one to calm myself. Many typically biker books are 50/50 sex scenes, this book although alpha strong and sexy has what I call substance. A true storyline that's engaging. WOW... I need to stop now. Can't wait to read book two and will be looking at more great novels from A.C Bextor. I've been in a drought for a truly great book and you have renewed my faith that there are great Authors and stories waiting to be read. :) :). :)

Amazing biker book alert...plus we get 2 love stories for the price of one.
I have to be careful not to spoil anything here but let me just tell you that the surprises kept coming and I couldn't predict what was going to happen next. I absolutely loved Shame and Hem once they decided to get their heads out of their asses and claim their women Mace and Sadey.
Passionate, erotic, suspenseful and full of dirty dirty goodness. There were some editing issues but they were easily overlooked. Can't wait to read the next book.

I'm still having trouble breathing after this book ended. Never has a book had me sobbing so hard...the ending is NOT a HEA but don't let that stop you from reading it. Yes, it has some grammar and errors in text but it does not take away from the story at all. She is an independent writer after all. If you like MC Club books with Alpha males, this will not disappoint! It has very HOT moment and the reference to Ernest Hemingway are perfect. Very touching ending... to say the least.

DNF @ like 82%... It was a okay plot and a lot of drama, but tooooo long and drawn out for me...too many POV's too--I started skimming pages at like 40% and I NEVER skim thru books,lol --not enough alpha badassedness and sex for me either ...characters were a little juvenile too.
Just not my cup of tea, but I respect the author for putting her work out there!

I liked this one but have to say I was disappointed by the weak heroine and the ending was just too much of a tear jerker for me. I will continue with the series because it caught my interest but hope the other heroines aren't quite such doormats.

I really wanted to enjoy this book , I actually tried the read it twice, but I just couldn't get past the dialogue. No one speaks like these people, the unnaturalness of it was too much for me.
